- • As a Learning Designer at Cengage, you will play a pivotal role in shaping educational experiences that empower learners worldwide to discover the power and joy of learning, directly contributing to student success and lifelong achievement.
- • Day to day, you will design and refine learning experiences across products by creating engaging study resources, practice activities, and assessments; apply learning science principles to improve outcomes; collaborate with Content Managers and Subject Matter Experts to translate complex content into clear instruction; develop and maintain design templates and guidelines; review content for quality and accessibility; use data and learner insights to drive improvements; and support iterative development through pilot testing and feedback cycles.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field
- • Proven experience crafting learning experiences for adult learners in digital learning, curriculum, or workforce education contexts
- • Demonstrated ability to apply principles from educational psychology and curriculum development (e.g., retrieval practice, spacing, cognitive load, feedback, transfer, motivation) in practical learning design
- • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to transform complex content into clear, learnable instruction
- • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing actionable feedback to improve learning materials
- • Comfort managing multiple projects with strong attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational skills
