- • The Learning Program Manager at General Motors is a critical role focused on fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within Corporate Staff functions such as Legal, Marketing, Communications, and Strategy, directly supporting GM’s business objectives through strategic learning initiatives.
- • Day to day, the role involves collaborating with business leaders to understand organizational goals, assessing workforce performance gaps, conducting root cause analyses, recommending learning solutions, overseeing course development with instructional designers and SMEs, managing end-to-end program delivery, ensuring on-time, on-scope, and on-budget execution, and serving as the Single Point of Contact between business units and the central Learning & Development COE.
- • The role is part of GM’s Global Learning and Development team, working closely with Corporate Staff leaders to align learning programs with strategic priorities, drive accountability for Corporate Required Training, and champion a culture of continuous improvement and lifelong learning across the organization.
- • In this role, the individual will develop expertise in learning program governance, stakeholder engagement, performance gap analysis, instructional design partnership, and data-driven evaluation of learning impact, positioning them as a trusted advisor and go-to resource for learning and development needs within Corporate Staff.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5-7+ years of relevant work experience in learning and development, program management, or a related field
- • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
- • Strong project and/or program management skills with proven ability to manage end-to-end learning initiatives
- • Experience partnering with stakeholders at all levels and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work autonomously, and flourish in a self-directed environment
