đź“‹ Description
- • AlixPartners is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal and Compliance Senior Professional to join our dynamic, multijurisdictional compliance team. This pivotal role is instrumental in upholding the firm’s robust compliance framework, ensuring adherence to a wide array of regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices. You will be at the forefront of maintaining and enhancing our governance structure, contributing significantly to our unwavering commitment to rigorous regulatory compliance. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a tangible impact within a firm renowned for solving the most complex and critical challenges, moving swiftly from analysis to action when it matters most.
- • As a Legal and Compliance Senior Professional, you will take ownership of key compliance policies, procedures, and governance frameworks. Your responsibility will extend to ensuring these critical documents remain current, effective, and fully aligned with all applicable regulatory mandates. This proactive approach is vital for mitigating risks and maintaining the integrity of our operations.
- • You will be tasked with overseeing compliance monitoring activities across various assigned regulatory domains. This includes, but is not limited to, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), and sanctions compliance. Your role will involve identifying potential risks, recognizing emerging trends, and pinpointing areas that require remediation, thereby safeguarding the firm against potential violations.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves partnering cross-functionally with various teams throughout the organization. Your objective will be to reinforce a pervasive culture of integrity and accountability. This means ensuring that compliance expectations are not only clearly communicated but also thoroughly understood and consistently applied by all employees, fostering an environment where ethical conduct is paramount.
- • You will play a crucial role in translating complex regulatory and compliance requirements into clear, practical, and actionable guidance. This is essential for ensuring that non-specialist teams can easily understand and implement these directives, bridging the gap between intricate legal language and operational reality.
- • Conducting thorough due-diligence will be a core responsibility, focusing on identifying potential fraud, sanctions risks, or other compliance concerns. You will also assist in investigating potential irregularities, non-compliant behaviors, or process deviations, contributing vital fact-finding and remediation efforts to ensure swift and effective resolution.
- • Managing regulatory registers and controls, such as insider lists, is another key function. You will ensure the accuracy, completeness, and ongoing compliance of these critical records with all regulatory obligations, maintaining a high standard of governance.
- • Maintaining accurate and complete documentation of all compliance activities is paramount. This meticulous record-keeping will be crucial for supporting internal and external audits, as well as responding effectively to regulatory inquiries, demonstrating transparency and diligence.
- • You will be responsible for providing concise, well-structured summaries of compliance risks, emerging trends, and other pertinent issues to senior management. This information will empower informed decision-making and strategic planning at the highest levels of the firm.
- • Supporting the successful rollout and implementation of updated compliance requirements will involve close collaboration with relevant teams. Your efforts will ensure consistent understanding and application of new regulations and policies across the entire organization, promoting a unified approach to compliance.
- • Contributing to the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs, engaging awareness campaigns, and effective learning materials will be essential. Educating our workforce on compliance matters is a proactive measure to prevent issues and foster a compliant culture.
- • You will continuously monitor legal, regulatory, and industry developments. Your role will involve assessing the potential impact of these changes on the firm and integrating necessary adjustments into our policies, controls, and operating practices, ensuring we remain agile and compliant in a constantly evolving landscape.
- • This role offers the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as identified, contributing to the broader goals of the Legal and Compliance department. The description provided is intended to be a comprehensive overview but may not encompass every single required activity, duty, or responsibility. We encourage individuals who are proactive and eager to contribute to a high-performing team.
- • At AlixPartners, we believe in work that truly matters, impacting companies, clients, and communities during pivotal moments. You will be part of a high-performing team of experts who value collaboration, integrity, and excellence. We foster a career growth environment that prioritizes challenging, high-value, and impactful work, alongside inclusion and authenticity. Our hybrid work model is designed to support flexibility, well-being, and teamwork, offering a balance between in-office collaboration and remote work.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred; relevant extensive hands-on experience in a compliance, regulatory, or risk-management function may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- • Extensive hands-on experience in a compliance, regulatory, or risk-management function, with a proven track record of supporting or executing core compliance activities, including policy management, monitoring, and investigations.
- • Robust understanding of key regulatory frameworks, including anti-fraud measures, anti-market-abuse controls, AML/CTF obligations, sanctions requirements, and related compliance standards.
- • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to interpret complex information, identify risks, and assess control gaps effectively.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the proven ability to convey detailed or technical compliance concepts clearly, concisely, and appropriately for diverse audiences.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Comprehensive health benefits designed to prioritize physical and emotional well-being.
- • Generous time-off policies to support employee recharge and work-life balance.
