- • This role is within Kraken's OTC desk, a market leader in the dynamic and rapidly evolving crypto industry, celebrated for its exceptional white-glove service and 24/7 global market-making capabilities.
- • The OTC desk provides deep liquidity, tighter spreads, and a private, personalized service for institutional clients and high-net-worth individuals executing substantial orders, ensuring discreet, secure, and highly competitive execution and settlement.
- • You will contribute to the ongoing growth and success of our OTC desk, which has already established a dominant presence in spot trading, expanded into options, and recently launched structured products.
- • As an OTC Trader, you will work closely with our established OTC spot team, directly interfacing with clients, managing the intricate settlement processes, and gaining valuable exposure to our sophisticated borrowing and lending operations.
- • Reporting to a Director, this position offers a significant opportunity for a motivated and curious trader to actively shape the future of cryptocurrency trading within a leading global brand.
- • Your core responsibilities will encompass managing the complete lifecycle of both cryptocurrency and foreign exchange (FX) trades, from initiation to final settlement.
- • You will actively handle the OTC trading flow, engaging with both new and existing counterparties to facilitate seamless transactions.
- • Meticulous documentation of all OTC trades will be crucial, alongside the precise execution of orders, proactive hedging of identified risks, and diligent reconciliation of positions and Profit & Loss (P&L) to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- • You will be responsible for the settlement of both fiat and crypto positions, undertaking essential ad-hoc tasks as required to maintain operational efficiency.
- • A key aspect of the role involves rebalancing crypto and FX exposure across a variety of trading venues, optimizing our market position and risk profile.
- • You will play a vital role in client engagement, acting as a primary point of contact and effectively connecting clients to the broader OTC desk services and expertise.
- • Identifying and capitalizing on trading opportunities will be paramount, executing trades within predefined parameters to maximize profitability and market share.
- • Close collaboration with internal teams, including operations, accounting, and settlement, is essential to guarantee the accurate and timely settlement of all transactions.
- • You will work in tandem with Kraken's experienced traders and cryptocurrency researchers to continuously enhance your market knowledge, deepen your expertise, and stay ahead of industry trends.

🎯 Requirements
- • 1-5 years of experience in OTC or electronic trading within the financial services and/or crypto space, with a strong understanding of relevant products.
- • A genuine passion for the crypto world, demonstrated familiarity with current trends and exciting coins, and a strong, proactive learning attitude towards new industry developments.
- • Proven experience in trade execution and a solid understanding of electronic trading systems, covering front-to-back processes.
- • A collaborative and learning mindset, with a demonstrated eagerness to learn from peers and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with institutional clients.
