- • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Legal Engineers in Sydney, setting clear performance expectations and fostering a high-trust, high-output team culture.
- • Own the quality and consistency of Harvey’s pre-sales legal engineering function, ensuring demos, discovery conversations, and deal support meet the highest standards.
- • Partner closely with Account Executives and GTM leadership to prioritize pipeline, develop deal strategy, and support conversion on complex or strategic opportunities.
- • Engage directly with lawyers at prospective law firms and in-house legal teams to understand their workflow challenges and demonstrate how Harvey’s AI solutions enhance their day-to-day legal work.
- • Conduct tailored product demonstrations for various law firm practice groups and in-house legal teams, aligning Harvey’s features with specific client use cases and practice areas.
- • Act as the "Voice of the Customer," translating legal feedback from prospects into actionable insights for the Product and Marketing teams to refine positioning, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy.
- • Collaborate with Product and Marketing to ensure field insights directly inform product development and customer communication.
- • Build consultative relationships with senior stakeholders at law firms and ASX 200 in-house legal teams, establishing Harvey as a trusted advisor in legal technology adoption.
- • Support the sales process by conducting in-depth customer discovery, delivering educational sessions, and participating in one-to-one and group demos to secure the "legal win" in sales cycles.
- • Travel occasionally to customer offices and company locations to support client engagements and team alignment.
- • Maintain deep familiarity with legal technology and AI tools, rapidly developing and demonstrating expertise in Harvey’s platform to credibly engage legal professionals.
- • Apply legal expertise gained from prior practice to ask thoughtful questions that uncover client needs and validate Harvey’s value proposition in real-world legal workflows.
- • Operate with decisiveness, simplicity, and a "Job’s Not Finished" mindset in a fast-paced, high-growth environment focused on scaling Harvey’s APAC pre-sales function.
🎯 Requirements
- • Qualified lawyer with 7+ years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house legal environment
- • Prior experience managing a team with a track record of developing talent and driving performance
- • Deep familiarity with legal technology and AI tools, with the ability to quickly develop and demonstrate platform expertise
- • Strong commercial instincts and ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders at law firms and in-house legal teams
- • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience running training, workshops, or client-facing product sessions
- • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach
