- • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Legal Engineers focused on supporting Harvey’s go-to-market efforts through customer-facing legal expertise and product demonstrations.
- • Partner directly with Account Executives and Sales leadership to support strategic accounts, develop deal strategy, and drive successful customer outcomes in litigation, regulatory, compliance, and investigations workflows.
- • Oversee team engagement in complex customer interactions, including conducting discovery sessions, leading product demos, and advising clients on how Harvey’s AI platform improves legal workflows for litigation, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior legal stakeholders such as General Counsel, Chief Litigation Counsel, Chief Compliance Officers, Heads of Regulatory Affairs, Deputy General Counsel, and legal operations leaders.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Applied Legal Research, Marketing, and Enablement teams to refine product positioning, customer solutions, and go-to-market strategy based on frontline feedback.
- • Synthesize customer insights and feedback to inform product roadmap decisions, feature development, and the identification of new use cases for Harvey’s platform in legal workflows.
- • Scale the Legal Engineering organization by improving internal processes, enablement materials, demo frameworks, and team best practices to ensure consistent, high-quality customer engagement.
- • Represent Harvey in the market through customer workshops, industry events, speaking engagements, and thought leadership initiatives to strengthen brand credibility and market presence.
- • Act as a bridge between legal domain expertise and commercial strategy, translating complex legal challenges into clear value propositions for enterprise clients using Harvey’s AI-powered platform.
- • Maintain deep familiarity with evolving legal technology and AI tools, rapidly mastering Harvey’s platform to provide authoritative, consultative support during sales cycles.
- • Drive a culture of decisiveness, simplicity, and ownership aligned with Harvey’s core values, ensuring the team operates with intensity, customer closeness, and a commitment to excellence.
- • Contribute to the growth of Harvey’s Legal Engineering function by identifying gaps in team capabilities, recommending hiring needs, and developing training programs to elevate team performance.
- • Serve as the primary internal advocate for the needs and pain points of in-house legal teams focused on litigation, regulatory compliance, investigations, and enforcement matters.
- • Ensure all customer engagements reflect a strong understanding of the operational realities, priorities, and constraints faced by legal departments in regulated industries.
- • Maintain a strong point of view on the future of legal services and the transformative impact of AI on legal workflows, communicating this vision clearly to internal teams and external clients.
🎯 Requirements
- • Qualified lawyer with 7+ years of post-qualification experience, including significant practice in litigation, regulatory, investigations, compliance, white-collar defense, enforcement, employment litigation, financial regulatory matters, or government investigations, with in-house experience preferred.
- • Proven track record of managing and developing a team, with demonstrated success in talent development and performance driving.
- • Deep familiarity with legal technology and AI tools, with the ability to quickly learn and expertly articulate the value of Harvey’s platform.
- • Strong understanding of the workflows, challenges, and priorities of in-house litigation, compliance, investigations, and regulatory teams.
- • Strong commercial instincts and credibility when engaging with senior legal and business stakeholders.
- • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience leading trainings, workshops, demos, or other customer-facing sessions.
