📋 Description

• As a Legal Researcher at Jerry.ai, you will be embedded in the business from day one, working closely with Legal Counsel and executive leadership to drive meaningful legal workstreams that support a high-growth startup.
• You will own corporate compliance and governance across U.S. and Canada jurisdictions, proactively identifying risks and implementing systems to prevent lapses, while leading legal research on regulatory, consumer protection, and product-related issues to deliver actionable recommendations.
• You will serve as a first-line owner for complex consumer escalations and regulatory inquiries, investigating root causes, assessing legal exposure, proposing scalable solutions, and leading compliance training initiatives.
• You will partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Operations to review features and policies for legal compliance, translate legal requirements into operational decisions, and strengthen IP protection by monitoring infringements and supporting enforcement strategies.
• You will lead compliance audits, build scalable legal systems using AI and low-code tools to automate manual work, and contribute to creating a tech-enabled, efficient legal function that sets industry benchmarks.
