  • • As a Liability Determination Adjuster at The Allstate Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in guiding customers through one of the most challenging periods of their lives following a single- or multi-vehicle accident. Your primary responsibility will be to provide empathetic support and clear communication, ensuring policyholders and claimants feel understood and well-informed throughout the claims process.
  • • You will act as the primary point of contact, engaging with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, repair shops, and other relevant partners through various communication channels including phone, email, and text. This requires a high degree of professionalism and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • • Following comprehensive, hands-on training, you will be empowered to independently investigate the circumstances surrounding accidents. This involves meticulously reviewing damage details, gathering all pertinent information, and thoroughly interpreting policy coverage to accurately determine what is owed to the customer.
  • • A key aspect of this role is your ability to act as an effective communicator. You will be expected to clearly explain the claims process, address all customer inquiries, and provide consistent updates on claim status, utilizing the communication methods preferred by the customer to foster trust and transparency.
  • • You will serve as a skilled negotiator, working directly with customers, claimants, vendors, and other insurance carriers to evaluate claims and negotiate fair and equitable settlements. This requires strong judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate complex and potentially challenging discussions with confidence.
  • • As a dedicated problem solver, you will leverage provided tools and resources to make informed decisions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Your strong critical thinking skills will be essential in resolving issues efficiently and ensuring claims progress smoothly towards resolution.
  • • Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation is crucial. You will be responsible for meticulously recording all claim-related activities, adhering strictly to policy guidelines and ensuring all claim records within our system are up-to-date and complete, thereby protecting both the company and our customers.
  • • This role demands a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new processes and technologies within the claims management system. You will be expected to continuously develop your skills and knowledge to enhance your effectiveness in the role.
  • • You will be instrumental in upholding Allstate's Claims Culture, which is built on the principles of caring, empowering, and restoring. Your interactions will embody these values, demonstrating empathy, providing clear guidance, and helping customers move forward with confidence after experiencing a loss.
  • • The position is fully remote, requiring a dedicated and private workspace within your residence that is free from distractions. You must also meet specific technical requirements, including a minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down/5 MB up, and possess an appropriate work surface and seating.
  • • You will be assigned a work schedule between 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a potential for Saturday rotation, ensuring coverage and responsiveness to customer needs.
  • • A significant aspect of the role involves the potential requirement to obtain and maintain an adjuster's license in multiple markets, with all required licenses needing to be obtained within 60 days of hire. This includes fulfilling any continuing education and renewal requirements.
