Full Job Description
đ Description
- ⢠Fort Health is a mission-driven mental health company dedicated to expanding access to care for children and adolescents, addressing the critical gap where 50% of U.S. youth lack mental health support through innovative virtual care solutions and partnerships with leading institutions like the Child Mind Institute.
- ⢠As a Licensed Child and Adolescent Therapist, you will serve as the frontline clinical provider delivering evidence-based, telehealth therapy to youth and families, directly advancing Fort Healthâs vision of a world where every child has access to the support they need to thrive emotionally and mentally.
- ⢠Your day-to-day responsibilities include delivering high-quality, individualized therapy sessions via Fort Healthâs virtual care platform, building trusting relationships with children, teens, and families, and ensuring patients feel seen, heard, and supported throughout their care journey.
- ⢠You will collaborate closely with care managers, psychiatrists, and clinical leaders to coordinate holistic, patient-centered treatment plans, participate in regular case consultations and peer learning sessions, and engage in ongoing clinical supervision to refine your practice and stay current with best practices.
- ⢠You will maintain an up-to-date calendar, adhere to scheduling protocols, and leverage Fort Healthâs proprietary EMR and custom-built tools to streamline documentation, scheduling, and communicationâallowing you to focus more time on clinical care and less on administrative tasks.
- ⢠You will contribute to a supportive, growth-oriented therapist community by sharing insights, embracing feedback, and actively participating in initiatives that promote inclusivity, professional development, and collective impact on youth mental health outcomes.
- ⢠Through this role, you will deepen your expertise in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, ACT, and DBT while gaining experience in telehealth best practices, interdisciplinary collaboration, and data-informed clinical decision-makingâall supported by Fort Healthâs investment in therapist training, tools, and clinical leadership.
- ⢠You will have the opportunity to grow your clinical impact and career trajectory within a purpose-driven organization that values your well-being, offers flexible scheduling, and empowers you to own a meaningful patient panel while contributing to systemic change in youth mental health access.
đŻ Requirements
- ⢠Active license to practice as a Psychologist (PhD, PsyD), LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or LMHC in the State of New York; additional state licenses are considered a bonus.
- ⢠Minimum of two years of direct clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families, with demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
- ⢠Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with proven experience delivering effective, engaging therapy through telehealth platforms.
- ⢠Proficiency in navigating Upheal, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and Google Suite for clinical documentation, care coordination, and team communication.
- ⢠Genuine passion for providing direct, ongoing care to youth and families, including the commitment to manage and grow a stable patient panel over time.
- ⢠Availability to conduct sessions during weekday evenings (3:30 PMâ8:30 PM) and/or weekends as needed to accommodate patient and family schedules.
- ⢠Must reside in the United States with reliable high-speed internet access to support secure, uninterrupted virtual therapy sessions.
đď¸ Benefits
- ⢠Flexible part-time W2 schedule with a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week (including 12 hours of clinical care), offering predictable income and work-life balance while allowing therapists to customize their caseload based on personal needs and goals.
- ⢠Competitive incentive-based compensation model: starting at $40,000 annually for minimum hours, with scalable earningsâe.g., $50,350 for 15 weekly clinical hours, $84,850 for 25 hours, and $95,200 for 28 hoursâenabling therapists to increase income by adding more clinical time.
- ⢠Comprehensive benefits package including paid time off (PTO), company holidays, malpractice insurance coverage, and access to in-house psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners for consultation and collaborative care.
- ⢠Dedicated administrative support from front desk and care management teams who handle credentialing, billing, claims, scheduling, and between-session patient coordinationâeliminating burdensome paperwork and logistics.
- ⢠Access to Fort Healthâs therapist-friendly, custom-built EMR and technology stack designed to reduce screen time, simplify documentation, and enhance patient communication so clinicians can focus on therapeutic work.
- ⢠Ongoing professional development through clinical supervision, peer learning communities, case consultations, and training resources that support skill growth, clinical effectiveness, and long-term career fulfillment in youth mental health.
