- • As a Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator (referred to internally as a Zippy Guide), you will play a pivotal role in transforming the manufactured home financing experience by guiding homebuyers through a seamless, digital loan process that emphasizes transparency, efficiency, and care—directly supporting Zippy’s mission to make homeownership more accessible and affordable.
- • You will originate consumer loans by taking applications, setting clear process expectations, preparing loan files for handoff, managing risk as the front-line decision-maker, and optimizing internal processes to ensure best-in-class consumer outcomes while contributing to a mission-driven effort to tackle the affordable housing crisis.
- • Day to day, you will communicate with applicants and partners via phone, email, and text; share best practices and feedback with engineering teams to improve Zippy’s technology platform; collaborate with fellow MLOs to refine processes; and proactively identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and risk management in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- • You will act as a trusted advisor and advocate for consumers, leveraging your expertise to deliver personalized guidance throughout the loan journey while aligning with Zippy’s consumer-first mindset and commitment to financial happiness through homeownership.
- • Joining a remote-first team headquartered in Dallas with presence across multiple states, you’ll become part of a growing, innovative organization backed by institutional investors, where your contributions directly impact process improvements, technology evolution, and expanded access to manufactured home financing.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in niche manufactured home lending, strengthen your ability to bridge consumer needs with product development, and grow as a self-starter who thrives in collaborative, mission-oriented environments—positioning yourself for long-term career growth within a company that promotes from within and values innovation, ownership, and results-driven performance.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of experience in mortgage or equity sales
- • Active Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator status in relevant states (or willingness and ability to obtain licensure)
- • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software tools, demonstrating tech-savviness essential for operating within Zippy’s digital-first platform
- • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills for effective engagement with applicants, partners, and internal teams via phone, email, and text
- • Self-starter mentality with ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced, evolving remote environment
- • Undergraduate degree or equivalent extended relevant work experience
- • Strong preference for candidates residing within 75 miles of Dallas, TX, and located in one of the approved hiring states (AZ, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, LA, MD, MI, MO, MT, NE, NV, NY, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, WI)
