  • • Your primary responsibility will be to engage with existing and prospective policyholders through multiple communication channels, including phone, email, and SMS. You will ensure that every interaction is prompt, accurate, and personalized, leaving customers feeling informed, valued, and confident in their insurance coverage. This involves expertly handling a wide array of service requests, from routine policy changes and billing inquiries to more complex issues like renewals, cross-selling opportunities, and policy rewrites.
  • • A key aspect of this role is customer retention and growth. You will proactively identify at-risk accounts, analyze their needs, and present competitive, tailored solutions that not only prevent cancellations but also enhance coverage and customer satisfaction. By understanding the nuances of different insurance products and carrier offerings, you will be instrumental in retaining valuable customers and minimizing churn.
  • • Furthermore, you will play a vital role in driving revenue through consultative selling. This involves identifying opportunities to offer additional lines of coverage or improved renewal options to existing customers. You will utilize our advanced technology platforms, including comparative raters and multiple carrier portals, to quote and bind new business, ensuring that customers receive the best possible value and protection.
  • • Interpreting and analyzing complex insurance policies, endorsements, and reports will be a daily task. Your ability to translate this information into clear, actionable advice for customers, while ensuring compliance and protecting both the customer and the agency, is paramount. This requires a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of insurance regulations and best practices.
  • • Collaboration is central to our success at Trellis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Training, and Operations, to ensure seamless customer handoffs and a consistently high-quality experience across all touchpoints. Your feedback and insights will be invaluable in refining our processes and enhancing our service delivery.
  • • Mastering our suite of technology systems is essential. This includes our CRM tools, comparative raters, and various carrier portals for leading insurers such as Progressive, Geico, National General, Safeco, and Bristol West. Proficiency in these tools will enable you to work efficiently and effectively, providing accurate and timely support to our policyholders.
  • • You will be a champion for efficiency and accuracy, actively leveraging automation and data-driven insights to improve workflows and performance metrics. Your contributions will help us scale our operations and maintain our commitment to providing a superior insurance experience.
  • • This role requires a proactive and self-directed approach. You will be expected to manage your workload effectively, maintain high standards of quality, and contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment. Your ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving startup culture and quickly learn new systems and processes will be key to your success.
  • • The position is remote and open to candidates in most U.S. states, excluding California and New York. You will be part of a team that operates seven days a week, requiring flexibility in your schedule, including at least one weekend day and one closing shift per week. You will receive two consecutive days off to ensure a healthy work-life balance.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Actively hold a Property and Casualty or Personal Lines license in at least 10 states.
  • • Possess 2-3 years of personal lines insurance experience in a service, retention, or sales support role.
  • • Demonstrated success in preventing cancellations, rewriting business, and cross-selling additional insurance products.
  • • Highly proficient in navigating multiple carrier systems and CRM tools, with a strong analytical ability to interpret data and improve outcomes.
  • • Exceptional communication skills: clear, confident, and empathetic, with the ability to build trust and simplify complex insurance concepts.
  • • Self-directed, detail-oriented, and organized, capable of performing high-quality work with limited oversight in a fast-paced environment.
