Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Serve as the cornerstone of early identification and life-changing intervention for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) across North Carolina. As a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) at Kind Behavioral Health (KBH), you will conduct thorough, evidence-based diagnostic evaluations that open the door to individualized ABA therapy and brighter futures for hundreds of families.
- • Travel to KBH’s state-of-the-art clinics in the Triangle, Fayetteville, Wilmington, and Charlotte—approximately 25 % of your time—delivering gold-standard assessments in welcoming, child-friendly environments. Your reliable transportation and valid driver’s license ensure that no family is left waiting for answers.
- • Administer, score, and interpret industry-leading tools such as the ADOS-2, ADI-R, M-CHAT, and SCQ, translating complex data into clear, compassionate feedback. You will observe, engage, and connect with children and caregivers, capturing the nuanced behaviors that inform accurate DSM-5-TR diagnoses.
- • Craft comprehensive psychological evaluation reports that exceed professional and regulatory standards. Each report you produce synthesizes test results, behavioral observations, developmental history, and caregiver input into actionable recommendations that guide Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) in designing individualized treatment plans.
- • Present findings in family-centered feedback sessions, balancing clinical rigor with empathy. You will translate diagnostic terminology into relatable language, empowering parents and guardians to understand their child’s unique profile and next steps while offering hope and direction.
- • Collaborate seamlessly with an integrated multidisciplinary team—BCBAs, RBTs, intake coordinators, and Licensed Psychologists—to ensure smooth transitions from diagnosis to therapy. Your insights will directly shape treatment goals, intensity, and caregiver training priorities.
- • Maintain meticulous electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation, meeting KBH’s high standards for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Your attention to detail safeguards continuity of care and supports audits, insurance authorizations, and outcome tracking.
- • Participate in regular clinical supervision with a Licensed Psychologist (LP) as mandated by North Carolina regulations, sharpening your diagnostic acumen and staying current with evolving best practices in neurodevelopmental assessment.
- • Champion cultural humility and sensitivity, adapting your approach to honor diverse family structures, languages, and belief systems. Your ability to build trust across communities will reduce disparities in diagnosis and treatment access.
- • Demonstrate self-direction and time-management mastery, balancing assessment schedules, report deadlines, and travel logistics while sustaining productivity in both on-site and remote work settings.
- • Contribute to KBH’s culture of THINK BIG, HAVE FUN, DO GOOD, and BE KIND by sharing insights in team huddles, participating in continuing education, and mentoring junior staff. Your voice will help shape policies that elevate clinical excellence and family experience across all KBH regions.
