- • Translate Christian theological content—including sermons, Scripture commentaries, catechetical materials, liturgical texts, and devotional resources—between English and native Kurdish Sorani with high accuracy and doctrinal consistency.
- • Ensure translations align with market-specific ecclesiastical traditions, theological terminology, and formatting conventions relevant to the target faith community.
- • Apply rigorous quality standards to preserve scriptural intent and theological precision in all translated materials.
- • Adapt sermons, Christian media, and ministry video content for multilingual audiences through accurate subtitling and culturally appropriate localization.
- • Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet client requirements, deadlines, and project specifications.
- • Follow provided terminology glossaries, reference materials, and style guides with strict adherence to ensure consistency across projects.
- • Work as an independent contractor with full autonomy over schedule, choosing when and how much to work without fixed hours or mandatory check-ins.
- • Deliver a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week to maintain reliable availability and meet project demands.
- • Contribute to AI-driven language technology projects that enhance machine translation systems through human-verified theological translations.
- • Participate in a global community of linguists and subject matter experts advancing human knowledge through multilingual AI and language services.
- • Maintain professional standards in all deliverables, ensuring on-time submission and high-quality output for each assigned task.
- • Accept responsibility for own tax obligations as a 1099 contractor, with no employer-provided benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, or retirement contributions.
- • Engage in domain-specific testing as part of the onboarding process to demonstrate expertise in theological translation and localization.
- • Work remotely from the UK, with no requirement to relocate or commute to a physical office.

🎯 Requirements
- • Native-level proficiency in Kurdish Sorani
- • Graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience
- • Proven professional experience in theological, religious, or scriptural translation, localization, or subtitling
- • Ability to follow terminology and reference materials precisely
- • Reliable availability to commit to a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week
- • Access to stable internet and tools required for remote translation and subtitling work
