  • • As the M1 Brand Manager at tem, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the company's brand strategy, leading a dedicated team responsible for delivering consistent, high-quality brand experiences across all touchpoints. This pivotal role involves building and managing the operating system that governs tem's brand execution, ensuring reliability, scalability, and excellence as the company expands globally.
  • • You will directly manage Brand Individual Contributors (ICs) and Experts, strategically deploying resources to prioritize high-impact initiatives and establishing robust systems that empower teams to operate with speed and clarity without compromising quality.
  • • Reporting initially to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) and later to an incoming VP, you will be a key player in tem's growth trajectory, accountable for people performance, strategic hiring, and effective resource allocation within your scope.
  • • Your leadership as an M1 (first-line people manager) will focus on driving team performance and ensuring execution reliability. This includes setting clear expectations, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, fostering professional development, and making critical performance decisions to maintain a high standard of work.
  • • You will partner closely with the CGO on comprehensive hiring plans, ensuring that new team members not only fill capacity but also elevate the team's collective craft and judgment. A core part of your role is to continuously raise the bar for talent within the Brand team.
  • • Resource deployment will be a critical function, requiring you to skillfully allocate team capacity across a diverse range of priorities, including product launches, website updates, sales enablement materials, company-wide communications, and ongoing content creation. You will be responsible for making trade-offs explicit when demand outstrips capacity, ensuring the most vital work receives the necessary attention and resources.
  • • Establishing and refining the operating rhythm for Brand execution is paramount. This involves defining clear workflows, implementing effective cadences for intake, reviews, and retrospectives, and ensuring that brand positioning and messaging are consistently anchored across all business functions.
  • • A significant responsibility is owning tem's content system, from initial strategy through to final production. You will ensure clear ownership of content across key areas such as the website, customer lifecycle communications, sales enablement, executive communications, and product launches.
  • • You will architect the content operating model, defining processes for briefs, editorial standards, content planning, review cycles, and approval workflows. The goal is to build a system that enables the team to produce high-quality copy at speed, reducing reliance on you as the primary writer.
  • • Developing and embedding scalable tone of voice guidance and message architecture will be crucial for ensuring consistency and efficiency in content creation.
  • • You will run the execution operating system for the Brand team, managing briefs, prioritization, reviews, and delivery workflows. Establishing a predictable weekly cadence for these activities will be key to smooth operations.
  • • Ensuring stakeholders understand how to effectively engage with the Brand team and maintaining quality control without becoming a bottleneck are essential for operational success.
  • • You will be tasked with introducing and embedding AI-enabled workflows to enhance both the speed and quality of the team's output, ensuring that technological advancements augment, rather than diminish, the craft of brand execution.
  • • Building and evolving brand standards and systems, rather than merely maintaining them, is a core objective. This includes defining tem's visual and verbal identity, creating easily accessible guidelines, templates, and toolkits, and establishing review and approval workflows that safeguard quality without hindering progress.
  • • You will coach both ICs and stakeholders on adhering to brand standards, intervening only when necessary to uphold consistency and excellence.
  • • Enabling stronger credibility work across tem by partnering effectively with Product, Growth, and Commercial teams, and encouraging early collaboration through efficient Brand support, will be a key measure of success.
  • • Ultimately, you will be a consistent voice for clarity and strong storytelling, challenging work that deviates from the brand or is poorly framed, and helping to ensure tem's brand communicates technological literacy and confidence.
  • • Success in this role will be measured by demonstrable improvements in team performance, the successful elevation of the team's bar through strategic hiring, predictable and effective execution driven by robust systems, and the development of scalable content processes. Stakeholder trust, early involvement, and the compounding effect of brand work through reusable assets and clear standards will also be key indicators of success, alongside the effective integration of AI capabilities to enhance team output.
