- • As a Machine Learning Engineer on the Marketplace team at Mercor, you will build the models and decision systems that power the company’s hiring engine, directly impacting how talent is discovered, matched, and hired across a rapidly growing global network.
- • Your day-to-day work will involve designing and deploying ranking and matching systems, recommendation engines, personalization models, and real-time inference pipelines that operate at scale, using feedback from downstream hiring outcomes to improve model performance.
- • You will join a profitable, fast-paced, and deeply committed team at a Series C company valued at $10 billion, working alongside researchers, operators, and AI companies at the forefront of shaping AI-driven work systems.
- • In this role, you will gain hands-on experience solving complex, real-world ML challenges such as sparse and delayed labels, cold start, noisy feedback, and multi-objective optimization, while seeing the direct impact of your work on product quality, speed, conversion, and revenue.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong track record of shipping ML systems into production
- • Experience with ranking, recommendation, search, matching, or marketplace problems
- • Good judgment on model design, objective functions, evaluation, and tradeoffs
- • Comfort working across the full applied ML stack: data, features, training, inference, and iteration
- • Strong engineering fundamentals and a bias toward simple, robust systems
