📋 Description
- • Machine Learning Scientist role focused on advancing Enchant, Iambic Therapeutics' multimodal transformer model for biomedical applications, driving innovation in AI-powered drug discovery.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include researching and implementing architectural improvements to large-scale multimodal transformers, optimizing training and inference pipelines at scale, developing benchmarking frameworks, and collaborating with ML, software engineering, and domain experts (chemists, biologists) to deploy models in therapeutic discovery workflows.
- • The role sits within the Enchant team at Iambic Therapeutics, a clinical-stage life-science and technology company that integrates AI experts and drug hunters to accelerate medicine development through its AI-driven discovery platform.
- • The position offers opportunities to contribute to strategic research roadmaps, mentor junior team members, publish and present research, and develop high-impact ML systems that directly support real-world therapeutic decisions.
🎯 Requirements
- • MS in ML/CS or computational STEM with relevant industry/research experience, or PhD/equivalent industry experience
- • Strong Python and PyTorch experience, including end-to-end deep learning model implementation and training
- • Demonstrated experience training transformer models at scale
- • Strong engineering habits: reproducible experimentation, clean code, testing, and performance-minded debugging
- • Comfort with modern ML infrastructure (Docker, CUDA, Kubernetes, experiment tracking like Weights & Biases)
