• • As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the operational integrity and efficiency of complex industrial machinery. Your expertise will be crucial in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• • You will perform expert-level break-fix and preventative maintenance tasks. This involves a comprehensive approach, starting with observing devices in operation to pinpoint the root cause of any issues. You'll be adept at dismantling equipment to access and remove defective parts, meticulously examining components for imperfections, and making precise adjustments to functional parts and control instruments.
• • Your responsibilities will extend to the repair and/or replacement of faulty parts, followed by rigorous testing of the device to confirm its performance meets stringent standards. This includes conducting tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems, as well as reconditioning and repairing machine tools to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
• • A key aspect of your role will be identifying and sourcing necessary parts, supplies, and repair items. You will also be tasked with evaluating alternative solutions to enhance the cost-effectiveness and reliability of the equipment, demonstrating a proactive approach to asset management.
• • You will independently execute maintenance tasks in strict accordance with industry best practices and standards, ensuring a high level of quality and safety in all your work.
• • Collaboration with the Planner Scheduler is essential to optimize preventative maintenance procedures. Your insights will help refine schedules and tasks, making our maintenance efforts more efficient and effective.
• • Depending on operational needs, you may be required to set up and operate multiple machining operations. This includes proficiency with tools such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking equipment to fabricate and repair parts. You may also be called upon to perform welding tasks, further broadening your technical capabilities.
• • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment is paramount. You will strictly comply with 5S and housekeeping standards, contributing to a safe and efficient workplace.
• • You will be a driving force in Continuous Improvement (CI) activities. Leading, driving, and participating in CI initiatives, you will leverage CI tools and methodologies to improve processes, achieve measurable results, and contribute to significant cost savings.
• • As a senior member of the team, you will provide invaluable assistance to lower-level technicians and offer leadership support to project teams. You will also perform expert functions as part of training and development initiatives, mentoring colleagues and sharing your extensive knowledge.
• • A significant part of your role involves troubleshooting and analyzing complex control systems. You will delve into in-depth software/hardware issues and configuration problems, applying advanced diagnostic skills to resolve them effectively.
• • You will actively utilize predictive maintenance technologies to gather critical equipment performance data. By observing trends and analyzing the information collected, you will make informed recommendations for proactive maintenance and potential upgrades.
• • Accurate record-keeping is vital. You will update maintenance records and meticulously review CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) history, analyzing the data to identify patterns and inform future maintenance strategies.
