📋 Description

• Run month-end close across Slovenia, UK, and US entities, producing accurate and timely management accounts.
• Own group consolidation, inter-company eliminations, and multi-currency adjustments for cross-border financial reporting.
• Support tax, statutory, and regulatory filings in coordination with local external advisers across all three jurisdictions.
• Define, maintain, and enforce accounting policies including fixed assets and lease accounting under IFRS 16.
• Lead and automate the accounts payable function to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
• Support billing processes and accounts receivable management to ensure timely cash collection.
• Lead the end-to-end ERP implementation project alongside the Head of Finance, including system selection, configuration, testing, and go-live.
• Work directly with the Head of Finance and have direct visibility into all areas of the business, contributing to strategic financial decisions.
• Operate as the first in-house Management Accountant, building the finance foundation from the ground up for a rapidly scaling company.
• Manage your own priorities in a lean team environment with high ownership and minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data supports operational and strategic planning across manufacturing, sales, and R&D.
• Continuously improve financial reporting processes to reduce month-end turnaround time and increase accuracy.
• Utilize Google Sheets and at least one accounting platform (Xero, Sage, or similar) for daily accounting tasks and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to automate finance workflows and explore the use of AI tools to enhance process efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations while maintaining consistency in group-wide accounting practices.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities as part of the broader finance function development.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for financial data requests from leadership and external stakeholders.
• Build scalable financial systems and controls that can support the company’s growth across Europe and beyond.

🎯 Requirements

• Solid accounting and financial skills, built across 3-5 years in a hands-on role
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to month-end and reporting processes
• Organised and self-directed, comfortable operating in a lean team where you'll need to manage your own priorities
• Comfortable working in Google Sheets and at least one accounting platform (Xero, Sage, or similar)
• Experience with IFRS 16 lease accounting and fixed assets accounting
• Exposure to hardware or manufacturing businesses
