📋 Description

• • Own and elevate the entire accounting cycle for one of North America’s fastest-growing fintech marketplaces. You will manage daily operations, mentor junior staff, and architect scalable processes that keep pace with triple-digit transaction growth.
• • Serve as the technical accounting authority for Hiive. Research, document, and conclude on complex US GAAP matters tied to revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, warrant accounting, and fair-value measurements for pre-IPO equity instruments.
• • Lead the month-end and year-end close, ensuring every balance-sheet account is reconciled, every variance is explained, and every deadline is met without drama. You will personally review journal entries, flux analyses, and supporting schedules before they reach the Controller.
• • Supervise the global expense-management and corporate-card program. Design controls that prevent leakage, automate coding rules, and deliver real-time dashboards to department heads so they can manage their burn proactively.
• • Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams handling thousands of high-value transactions each month. Implement dunning workflows that cut DSO, negotiate vendor terms that optimize cash conversion, and maintain a 99 %+ accuracy rate on outbound payments.
• • Partner with Product and Engineering to monitor NetSuite integrations, payment rails, and data warehouses. When a sync fails or a balance drifts, you are the first responder—root-causing issues and rolling out fixes before close.
• • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and US venture-capital investors. Prepare PBC schedules, lead walkthroughs, and translate technical findings into board-ready narratives that build trust and speed up funding rounds.
• • Build the next generation of accounting talent. Provide hands-on coaching, set quarterly OKRs, and create playbooks that turn ad-hoc fixes into repeatable, automated processes.
• • Champion a culture of continuous improvement. Whether it’s scripting a reconciliation bot, launching an expense-app rollout, or redesigning the close calendar, you treat every cycle as a chance to shave hours and elevate insight.
• • Translate financial data into strategic insight for the CEO, CFO, and functional leaders. Your commentary on gross-margin trends, cash runway, and counter-party risk will directly influence product pricing, capital allocation, and market expansion decisions.
