📋 Description

• The Manager of Accounting is the operational core of Procurify's corporate accounting function, reporting to the Director of Finance and owning month-end close, GL review, internal reporting, and direct management of the accounting team in a lean, execution-focused environment.
• Day to day, the role involves owning end-to-end AR and AP operations with focus on DSO reduction, payment accuracy, and working capital discipline; managing invoicing, collections, vendor payments, AR/AP aging, and internal controls; leading month-end close processes including cutoff, accruals, reconciliations, and journal entry approval; managing and developing the accounting team; serving as the internal expert on Procurify’s platform by running AP workflows, documenting friction points, and providing product feedback; evaluating and piloting AI use in accounting; and ensuring GAAP/ASPE compliance.
• Procurify is an AI-enhanced procurement and AP automation platform for the mid-market, trusted by hundreds of companies to manage over $30B in spend, recently backed by $50M in Series C funding, and operating as a remote-first company with a strong commitment to modernizing spend management and fostering an inclusive, growth-oriented culture.
• In this role, the person will deepen expertise in full-cycle accounting within a SaaS environment, gain hands-on experience influencing product development through real-world platform use, lead AI adoption initiatives in accounting operations, strengthen leadership and people management skills, and drive measurable improvements in close efficiency, DSO, and internal controls while working cross-functionally with finance, product, and ops teams.

🎯 Requirements

• CPA designation required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a people management role
• Deep hands-on experience in both AP and AR operations — not just oversight, but genuine process ownership
• Proven track record owning month-end close in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP/ASPE and Canadian indirect tax (GST/HST, PST); US state sales tax experience is an asset
• Experience with Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or a comparable ERP; procurement or spend management platforms are a strong plus
• Experience in the technology/SaaS industry is strongly preferred
• Maintains a professional and current LinkedIn profile, ensuring it is updated upon joining Procurify to reflect their new role and maintain a consistent company presence.

• Base Salary Range: $86,000 - $108,000 CAD (This range is dependent on experience and not inclusive of any bonus, commission, benefits or equity that might exist in your total compensation package.)
