- • The Manager - Accounting (US GAAP Experience) role at Commvault Systems, Inc. is critical to ensuring accurate revenue recognition and financial compliance under US GAAP, particularly ASC 606, supporting the company’s mission of cyber resilience and data protection.
- • Day to day, the role involves analyzing customer contracts for proper revenue treatment under ASC 606, leading monthly and quarterly revenue close processes, supervising and mentoring revenue staff, setting team goals, providing training on revenue policies, and partnering with Sales, Legal, and Deal Desk teams to influence deal structures.
- • Commvault is a global leader in cyber resilience, empowering over 100,000 organizations with its AI-powered platform for data protection, security, intelligence, and recovery, backed by 25+ years of innovation and a strong partner ecosystem.
- • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in SaaS and software revenue recognition, strengthen leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills, drive process improvements in quote-to-cash operations, and contribute to strategic financial decision-making as the company scales.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- • CPA certification and experience in Big 4 or public accounting (preferred)
- • At least 5+ years of accounting and finance experience
- • Deep understanding and experience with US GAAP, specifically contract accounting under ASC 606
- • Proven leadership in scaling accounting functions in a high-growth tech environment with Software and SaaS contracts
- • Experience with NetSuite ERP and Solution 7 report writer
