📋 Description

• Lead the development and scaling of Jerry.ai’s AI platform and customer-facing Agentic AI product, shaping how LLMs, agents, and internal APIs create a seamless experience for managing car ownership.
• Drive end-to-end development of AI systems, including prompt strategies, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and integration with partners like OpenAI to pioneer new model capabilities in voice and workflow automation.
• Serve as the technical translator between engineering and cross-functional teams, establishing AI best practices, platform standards, and unifying fragmented AI infrastructure across six locations.
• Improve answer quality, customer satisfaction, and automation rates (>70% of inbound requests, 50k+ chats/month) through rigorous experimentation, data-driven analysis, and systematic optimization.
• Join a profitable, pre-IPO startup with $240M raised, 5M+ customers, and a flat org chart where you’ll report directly to the COO and lead one of the company’s most critical growth levers.
• Work with a passionate, curious, and egoless team to disrupt the car ownership industry by building the first all-in-one super app for car insurance, financing, maintenance, and safety.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a technical role such as forward deployed engineering, technical product management, or similar at a fast-paced startup.
• Deep passion and curiosity for AI systems, including modern LLMs, agent architectures, and emerging model capabilities.
• Proven track record of turning complex, strategic AI ideas into scalable, production-grade products.
• Comfort with SQL and data analysis to validate hypotheses, measure impact, and drive experimentation.
• Ability to navigate technical tradeoffs (latency, cost, accuracy) and lead by example in implementing AI platform standards.
• Systems thinking aptitude: comfortable discussing API design, architecture, and translating complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
