📋 Description
- • As Manager, AI Engineering - Analytics at Drata, you will be a player-coach leading a small team of engineers while staying hands-on with code, system design, and shipping production AI features that power in-product analytics and reporting for compliance posture insights.
- • Day to day, you will write and review code, own critical technical paths, set engineering quality standards, lead 1:1s, provide feedback, hire and grow talent, define AI and data direction, build natural language data experiences, establish eval-driven development, and drive end-to-end delivery from spec to GA in partnership with product.
- • You will join a mission-driven team of 600+ people at Drata, a company that helps organizations earn and keep trust through automation-first, customer-obsessed solutions, operating in a hybrid model in the San Francisco Bay Area with in-office collaboration Tuesday through Thursday.
- • In this role, you will grow into formal leadership while maintaining technical excellence, shaping the AI and data foundation for analytics, building trustworthy AI experiences, and advancing your impact as both an engineer and a people manager in a high-growth SaaS environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 focused on AI/ML or applied AI work (agents, LLMs, evals, or similar)
- • At least one agent or LLM-powered system deployed to production that you owned end-to-end
- • Hands-on experience building and using evals to measure and improve AI quality
- • Solid data engineering or analytics engineering experience, including SQL, modeling, and modern data warehouses
- • Track record of shipping production software on small teams and operating across the full stack
- • Experience as a tech lead, project lead, or strong mentor, with a desire to grow into formal management
- • Strong written and verbal communication
- • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
