📋 Description

• • Lead, inspire and mentor a high-performing team of automation engineers who are transforming how Arch Capital Group delivers AI-driven business value. You will be the technical and people leader who ensures every sprint, release and production rollout is executed with precision, quality and measurable impact.
• • Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle for multiple automation initiatives—translating strategic AI concepts into robust, scalable solutions that integrate seamlessly with our global P&C insurance workflows. From initial backlog refinement through development, automated testing, CI/CD, deployment and post-production support, you will be the single point of accountability for on-time, on-budget delivery.
• • Establish and continuously evolve engineering standards that raise the bar for code quality, observability, documentation and DevOps maturity. You will define the guardrails that allow teams to move fast without breaking things, championing GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices across every repository.
• • Act as the primary liaison between Strategic Analytics leadership, business stakeholders and offshore development pods. You will translate complex business requirements into crisp technical designs, negotiate scope and timelines, and ensure that every deliverable aligns with Arch’s risk, compliance and data-governance frameworks.
• • Drive a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement. Whether you are piloting new MLOps tooling, optimizing serverless Azure Functions or refining intelligent document-processing pipelines, you will encourage the team to test, measure and iterate rapidly—turning lessons learned into reusable playbooks.
• • Manage distributed delivery models that span Toronto, Bermuda and global offshore centers. You will coordinate daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives across time zones, leveraging agile ceremonies, OKRs and KPI dashboards to maintain transparency and accountability.
• • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity and data-platform teams to ensure every automation solution is secure, compliant and future-proof. You will influence technology roadmaps, evaluate emerging tools and make build-vs-buy decisions that balance innovation with total cost of ownership.
• • Champion data-driven decision making. By leveraging Snowflake, Databricks and modern orchestration frameworks, you will enable real-time analytics that quantify automation ROI—reducing claim-processing times, cutting underwriting expenses and accelerating straight-through processing rates.
• • Foster an inclusive, growth-oriented environment where engineers feel empowered to take risks, share knowledge and advance their careers. You will conduct regular 1:1s, craft individual development plans and leverage Arch’s tuition-reimbursement program to close skill gaps.
• • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical executives through concise narratives, visual roadmaps and executive dashboards. Your ability to articulate business impact will secure continued investment and executive sponsorship for the automation portfolio.
