- ⢠The Manager, Clinical Programs (MCP) is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the success of assigned therapeutic programs by overseeing clinical operations, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory standards. This role is critical to advancing ImmunityBioâs mission of developing innovative immunotherapies that harness the bodyâs immune system to combat cancer and infectious diseases.
- ⢠Day-to-day responsibilities include leading a team of Clinical Trial Managers, Clinical Research Associates, and Clinical Trial Associates to meet program timelines and milestones; acting as the primary liaison for global clinical operations with functional leaders, external vendors (including CROs and central labs), and senior management; managing day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives of Clinical Trial Managers; overseeing team performance through hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, and conducting performance reviews; and executing special projects as assigned by leadership.
- ⢠The MCP partners synergistically with stakeholders across R&D, regulatory, manufacturing, finance, and commercial teams to ensure seamless execution of clinical programs, fostering collaboration that accelerates trial initiation, patient enrollment, and data quality while maintaining compliance with FDA, ICH/GCP, and other regulatory requirements.
- ⢠The role is based within ImmunityBioâs clinical operations organization, a growing and dynamic team at a publicly traded biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Southern California, offering exposure to cutting-edge cell and immunotherapy platforms and the opportunity to contribute to transformative cancer and infectious disease therapies.
- ⢠In this role, the individual will develop advanced expertise in global clinical program management, regulatory strategy, and cross-functional leadership within the biopharmaceutical industry; gain experience in NDA/BLA submission processes; strengthen mentorship and people management capabilities; and position themselves for senior leadership roles in clinical operations or translational medicine.
đŻ Requirements
- ⢠Bachelorâs degree in science required (Masterâs or PhD preferred)
- ⢠4+ years of experience working as a Clinical Trial Manager or Clinical Program Manager
- ⢠Previous people management experience required
- ⢠Experience with project and resource management required
- ⢠Strong background in oncology clinical development
- ⢠Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- ⢠Knowledge of FDA guidelines and ICH/GCP Guidelines
- ⢠Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, eTMF, CTMS, and eCTD authoring templates
