📋 Description

• Lead corporate development initiatives including fundraising, M&A, and strategic partnerships to drive Airwallex’s global expansion into new products and regions.
• Identify and evaluate white space business, product, and market opportunities within the fintech and financial services ecosystem to inform strategic growth decisions.
• Partner with executive leadership to design and execute fundraising campaigns, including preparing investor materials, managing communication, and coordinating due diligence processes.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models and operating projections to support business cases for investments, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives.
• Source, assess, and manage acquisition targets through all stages: deal identification, negotiation, structuring, financial analysis, due diligence, and post-closing integration.
• Collaborate closely with Legal, Finance, and the CEO’s office to ensure transactions align with Airwallex’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Create and deliver investment memos, pitch decks, and executive summaries that communicate complex financial and strategic insights to senior stakeholders.
• Drive end-to-end execution of high-impact transactions with a focus on speed, rigor, and alignment with Airwallex’s operating principles.
• Leverage data literacy and analytical rigor to assess market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and financial viability of potential deals.
• Act as a strategic advisor to leadership by translating market intelligence into actionable investment and growth strategies.
• Maintain strong relationships with investors, financial institutions, and industry partners to support ongoing capital strategy and market positioning.
• Ensure all corporate development activities adhere to internal governance standards and global regulatory frameworks.
• Work autonomously as a self-starter, prioritizing competing demands in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Communicate complex financial and strategic concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences across global teams.
• Utilize AI tools and technology to enhance efficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and deal execution.
• Contribute to shaping Airwallex’s long-term financial strategy by identifying emerging trends and opportunities in global payments and embedded finance.

🎯 Requirements

• 4–10 years of experience in top-tier investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or corporate development within technology companies
• Proven track record in M&A deal execution, including live deals with end-to-end involvement from sourcing to closing
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in building and managing financial models and investment memos
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience in technology, financial services, or high-growth environments
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex concepts to senior management and stakeholders
