- • Provide management and leadership oversight of teams and projects within the Data Management department, ensuring effective study execution and budget management.
- • Serve as the primary point of contact for all study-specific escalations, both internal and external, and represent the company at sponsor governance meetings.
- • Ensure appropriate allocation of staff to projects based on individual competencies, abilities, and development needs, with continuous oversight, training, and mentoring.
- • Identify, discuss, and address operational and budget risks across Data Management projects to maintain project integrity and financial accountability.
- • Define, monitor, and evaluate performance objectives for individual team members, creating clear pathways for career and personal development.
- • Support Business Development by actively participating in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and responses to sponsor requests.
- • Participate in sponsor audits, regulatory authority inspections, and third-party meetings, ensuring all recommendations are reviewed and implemented effectively.
- • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for specific Data Management processes as required, providing technical guidance and standardization across teams.
- • Apply expert knowledge of clinical data management best practices, technologies, and industry standards to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Biostatistics, Clinical Operations, and Regulatory Affairs to align data management activities with study goals and timelines.
- • Interpret and apply complex clinical trial documentation including protocols, statistical analysis plans, case report forms (CRFs), and study reports to guide data management strategy.
- • Manage end-to-end data management workflows from database design and build through data cleaning, locking, and final dataset delivery for regulatory submissions.
- • Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and career development activities for direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
- • Maintain awareness of evolving regulatory expectations and industry trends to ensure continuous improvement in data management processes and compliance.
- • Ensure all team activities adhere to Worldwide’s commitment to quality, excellence, and patient-centric innovation in clinical research.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 9 years of experience in clinical data management or a related role within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industries
- • 2–4 years of line management experience, including recruitment, performance reviews, and career development
- • Expert knowledge of data management best practices and technologies as applied to clinical trials
- • Bachelor’s degree or higher in biomedical sciences, life sciences, computer science, or related discipline — or equivalent relevant experience
- • Advanced understanding of clinical trial processes and documentation (protocols, SAPs, CRFs, study reports)
- • Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage operational and budget oversight for data management teams
