📋 Description
- • Own the strategic roadmap and execution for DoorDash's accounting infrastructure, including the data pipelines, system integrations, and automation platforms that power financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance at scale.
- • Partner with Accounting, Finance, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate complex regulatory and operational requirements into reliable, auditable backend systems.
- • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, setting technical direction and fostering a high-performance culture within a fast-moving, high-stakes financial environment.
- • Drive measurable improvements in data accuracy, pipeline reliability, and system scalability — directly enabling faster close cycles and audit readiness across the organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of experience in data or software engineering, including 2+ years leading engineering teams, ideally within fintech, marketplace, or high-growth tech environments.
- • Hands-on expertise with modern data infrastructure tools (e.g., Fivetran, dbt Cloud, Snowflake, Workato).
- • Strong working knowledge of financial processes — including revenue recognition, reconciliation, and close workflows — and can bridge the gap between engineering and accounting stakeholders.
