This 100% remote role offers a unique opportunity to partner directly with Virtua HR leadership, driving excellence in business performance through the strategic innovation, implementation, and ongoing optimization of reporting best practices. Your primary focus will be to support the successful alignment of HR’s strategic and operational plans by architecting and delivering creative, scalable, and impactful reporting solutions across the enterprise.
  • • You will collaborate daily with cross-functional teams, including HR Technology, Analytics, and operational departments such as HR and Payroll, as well as IT. This collaboration is crucial for understanding intricate reporting requirements, managing integrations, configuring systems, addressing holistic system needs, and fulfilling diverse data requests. Your role is pivotal in transforming raw human capital data into meaningful, actionable insights that empower leadership to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • • A key aspect of this position involves independently facilitating discussions to deeply understand customer business needs. You will then research and propose viable technical solutions, providing expert consultative guidance throughout the process. Ensuring the highest quality of reports and dashboards will be paramount, achieved through meticulous oversight of product design, architecture, rigorous testing, data validity checks, and seamless deployment.
  • • You will also play a vital role in developing and mentoring a team of skilled technical professionals. This includes sharing your expertise, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation, and guiding your team to achieve their full potential. Furthermore, you will oversee vendor release management specifications, which involves evaluating new reporting capabilities, engaging stakeholders, prototyping solutions, conducting thorough testing, training end-users, and leading successful implementations of new features and functionalities.
  • • In terms of report and dashboard maintenance, you will oversee a substantial report and data repository. Your responsibilities will include streamlining the report library by adding advanced prompts and filters, ensuring timely incorporation of implemented operational business changes, and continuously evaluating the current value and relevance of existing reports to the organization. You will coordinate monthly reviews of scheduled reports to verify recipient lists, confirm information utilization, and ensure delivery criteria align with evolving organizational needs.
  • • You will also be responsible for validating all modifications made to reports and auditing the full suite of custom reports to ensure consistent tagging, accurate descriptions, and standardized formatting. Maintaining adherence to established reporting guidelines is essential for report uniformity, and you will be responsible for expanding standard operating procedures as needed. A critical task involves actively participating in and identifying report modifications required for year-end transitions, managing all associated deliverables to ensure a smooth and accurate closing process.
  • • For report and dashboard design, architecture, and testing, you will lead the development of HR reports and dashboards with a strong emphasis on self-service capabilities and broad system application. You will support the translation of complex business needs into precise technical specifications for report development. Regular check-ins with your team will ensure positive direction and consistent progress in report development. You will review, validate, and formally sign off on all newly created reports, proactively engaging the team to investigate and resolve any data validity shortfalls.
  • • In report and dashboard optimization, you will consistently research emerging reporting technologies and partner with HR Leadership to evaluate their potential value add and return on investment. Collaborating with other industry reporting professionals will be key to exploring new reporting advancements and staying at the forefront of the field. You will represent Virtua in community forums and networking events to gather best practices and gain insights into upcoming product developments. You will confidently share your research and experience, contributing to the development of a strategic reporting technology business plan.
  • • Regarding report and dashboard deployment, you will adhere strictly to change management processes, ensuring all submissions are timely and comply with established guidelines. In partnership with HR Leadership, you will recommend optimal locations for reports and dashboards and define app connectivity to support seamless self-serve capabilities. Identifying the need for report/dashboard help text and guidelines will be crucial, and you will outline the creation and implementation of comprehensive reference materials, including articles and announcements. You will coordinate operational training, conduct workshops, and deliver demonstrations as needed to promote user adoption, enhance customer comfort in navigating reports/dashboards, and improve the interpretation of results.
  • • Finally, in report and dashboard customer success, you will monitor case management systems to ensure the successful and timely fulfillment of all report requests. You will support the reporting team during request triaging by proposing insightful and clarifying questions and synthesizing report specifications based on customer discussions. Upon delivery of the final product, you will proactively connect with customers to measure satisfaction and gather valuable feedback for future process improvements in reporting.
