Manager, Lifecycle Time & Attendance - APAC

📋 Description

• • Lead, coach, and develop a distributed, international Time & Attendance (T&A) team across APAC, fostering a high-performing culture in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• • Serve as the final escalation point for complex T&A cases involving wage-hour disputes, policy interpretation, disciplinary actions, and labor law compliance across APAC jurisdictions.
• • Own the end-to-end planning, implementation, and service delivery of T&A operations, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies in over 80 countries.
• • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Employee Relations teams to optimize T&A workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system integrations.
• • Drive continuous improvement of T&A processes by identifying automation opportunities, piloting AI-assisted tools, and scaling solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• • Ensure consistent delivery of T&A services by meeting and exceeding SLAs and KPIs while maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and confidentiality for sensitive employee records.
• • Conduct detailed analysis and internal investigations into serious attendance or timekeeping discrepancies, providing actionable recommendations to mitigate legal and operational risk.
• • Manage bi-annual performance evaluations, align individual and team goals with business objectives, and support professional growth through recruitment, training, and mentoring.
• • Champion a culture of innovation and accountability by encouraging proactive problem-solving, ownership, and adherence to Remote’s core values, including Innovation and Async work principles.
• • Maintain strict compliance with data protection protocols when handling confidential employee information, ensuring discretion and professionalism in all T&A-related matters.
• • Promote the responsible adoption of AI tools within the T&A team by establishing guardrails, providing training, and ensuring alignment with Remote’s data handling and compliance guidelines.
• • Support global HR operations by applying deep expertise in APAC-specific T&A regulations, including overtime rules, leave entitlements, shift work laws, and wage calculation complexities.
• • Contribute to the strategic expansion of Remote’s compliance coverage by identifying jurisdictional gaps and recommending process enhancements to scale T&A services across new APAC markets.
• • Maintain a strong service-oriented mindset focused on customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, scale-up environment.
