- • Lead, coach, and develop a distributed, international Time & Attendance (T&A) team across APAC to build a high-performing, compliant, and innovative function.
- • Serve as the final escalation point for complex T&A cases, including wage-hour disputes, policy interpretation, and disciplinary matters tied to timekeeping compliance in APAC jurisdictions.
- • Own the end-to-end planning, implementation, and service delivery of T&A operations, ensuring adherence to local labor laws and global compliance standards across 80+ countries.
- • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Employee Relations teams to optimize T&A workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system integrations.
- • Drive continuous improvement in T&A processes by identifying automation and AI-driven efficiency opportunities, piloting tools, establishing guardrails, and scaling successful solutions within compliance boundaries.
- • Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery by meeting and exceeding SLAs and KPIs related to T&A case resolution, response times, and customer satisfaction.
- • Manage employee data with strict confidentiality, adhering to data protection protocols and maintaining discretion in high-stakes investigations and sensitive records.
- • Foster a positive, inclusive, and asynchronous team culture across international borders, encouraging innovation, ownership, and excellence in a fully remote environment.
- • Conduct bi-annual performance evaluations and align individual and team goals with broader business objectives in a high-performance culture.
- • Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and mentoring initiatives to support the professional growth and retention of T&A team members in the APAC region.
- • Champion the responsible adoption of AI-assisted tools within the T&A team, ensuring team members are trained, confident, and compliant with Remote’s data handling and ethical AI guidelines.
- • Resolve escalated T&A issues through detailed analysis, internal investigations, and strategic recommendations that drive compliance, reduce risk, and enhance operational scalability.
- • Maintain deep expertise in APAC-specific T&A regulations, wage/hour laws, policy exceptions, and labor law interpretations to provide accurate guidance to teams and clients.
- • Optimize tools and digital platforms used for T&A tracking, reporting, and case management to improve accuracy, reduce manual effort, and increase team productivity.
- • Promote a life-work balance culture by operating in an async environment, allowing team members to structure their work around personal commitments while maintaining high performance.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven hands-on people management experience leading distributed, international teams
- • Demonstrated expertise in HR Operations across multiple countries, with deep knowledge of APAC labor laws and Time & Attendance compliance
- • Strong understanding of wage/hour regulations, disciplinary processes, and policy exceptions in APAC jurisdictions
- • Fluency in written and spoken English
- • Experience working in a fast-paced, international scale-up environment with SLA/KPI-driven service delivery
- • Tech-savvy with experience using digital tools for process optimization and automation
