📋 Description

• Manage, coach, and develop a distributed, international team focused on Time & Attendance (T&A) operations across APAC regions.
• Serve as the final escalation point for high-risk T&A cases, including complex wage-hour disputes, policy interpretation, and disciplinary matters tied to timekeeping compliance in multiple APAC jurisdictions.
• Ensure compliant, efficient delivery of T&A services by adhering to SLAs and KPIs while maintaining strict data integrity and confidentiality protocols for sensitive employee records.
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Employee Relations teams to optimize T&A workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system integrations.
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives, including automation and AI-assisted tool adoption, to enhance quality, efficiency, and scalability of T&A operations.
• Champion responsible use of AI tools within the T&A team, running pilots, establishing guardrails, and ensuring team members are trained and compliant with Remote’s data handling policies.
• Lead bi-annual performance evaluations and align individual and team goals with business objectives in a high-performance, asynchronous culture.
• Drive recruitment, training, and mentoring of regional team members to support professional growth and build a high-performing, culturally inclusive T&A team.
• Foster a positive, innovation-driven team culture across international borders in a fully remote, async work environment.
• Maintain deep expertise in APAC labor laws, wage/hour regulations, policy exceptions, and disciplinary processes related to time and attendance compliance.
• Safely manage and protect confidential employee data, advising on best practices for handling sensitive investigations and T&A records with discretion and professionalism.
• Contribute to the strategic expansion of Remote’s compliance coverage by ensuring T&A practices evolve to support operations in over 80 countries.
• Act as a subject matter expert on T&A matters, providing guidance to internal stakeholders and clients on complex international employment compliance issues.
• Utilize digital tools and data-driven insights to monitor team performance, identify operational bottlenecks, and recommend technology-enabled solutions.

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on people management experience leading distributed, international teams
• Proven track record in HR Operations across multiple countries
• Deep knowledge of Time & Attendance laws, wage/hour regulations, and labor compliance in APAC jurisdictions
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Experience working in a fast-paced, international scale-up environment
• Tech-savviness with experience using digital tools for process optimization and automation
