📋 Description

• Lead, coach, and develop a distributed, international Time & Attendance (T&A) team across APAC, fostering a high-performing, innovation-driven culture in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• Serve as the final escalation point for complex T&A cases, including wage-hour disputes, policy interpretation, and disciplinary matters related to timekeeping compliance across multiple APAC jurisdictions.
• Own the end-to-end planning, implementation, and service delivery of T&A operations, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies in over 80 countries.
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Employee Relations teams to optimize T&A workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system integrations.
• Identify and drive process improvements through automation and AI-assisted tools, piloting new technologies while ensuring adherence to data privacy and compliance guardrails.
• Maintain strict data integrity and confidentiality when managing sensitive employee records, investigations, and T&A-related documentation, upholding professional discretion in high-stakes scenarios.
• Deliver consistent, compliant T&A services while meeting and exceeding SLAs and KPIs tied to service quality, response times, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead bi-annual performance evaluations, align individual and team goals with business objectives, and drive recruitment, training, and mentoring initiatives to support team growth.
• Champion the responsible adoption of AI tools within the T&A team, equipping staff with training and clear guidelines to enhance efficiency without compromising compliance or human judgment.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability, encouraging proactive problem-solving and ownership in a fast-paced, global scale-up environment.
• Ensure all T&A practices reflect Remote’s core values of innovation, fairness, and global inclusivity, contributing to the broader mission of enabling compliant international employment.

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on people management experience leading distributed, international teams
• Proven track record in HR Operations across multiple countries
• Deep expertise in Time & Attendance laws, wage/hour regulations, and labor compliance in APAC jurisdictions
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Experience working in a fast-paced, international scale-up environment
• Tech-savviness with proficiency in digital tools and a focus on process automation
