📋 Description
- • Lead a pod of Deployment Engineers and/or Security Solution Engineers specializing in SIEM/SOAR platforms through daily, hands-on management and technical oversight.
- • Serve as a player-coach: actively participate in complex customer deployments while simultaneously managing team performance, priorities, and career development.
- • Coordinate closely with the Project Manager to prioritize incoming deployment requests based on team capacity, customer urgency, and individual engineer skillsets.
- • Own and drive key team delivery metrics including go-live timelines, concurrent deployment capacity, and content coverage across customer environments.
- • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and career development discussions to support engineer growth and retention.
- • Identify, escalate, and remove operational blockers that delay deployment timelines or impact customer onboarding success.
- • Collaborate with the Director to refine and standardize team processes, tooling, and onboarding playbooks for scalability and consistency.
- • Maintain and enhance technical runbooks and deployment playbooks to ensure repeatable, high-quality customer onboarding experiences.
- • Apply deep technical expertise in Google SecOps and/or Microsoft Sentinel to troubleshoot, configure, and deploy security solutions directly in customer environments.
- • Ensure alignment between engineering delivery and customer success goals by translating business requirements into technical execution plans.
- • Foster a high-performance culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced startup environment.
- • Act as a technical mentor to junior engineers, providing guidance on SIEM/SOAR content development, automation workflows, and incident response integrations.
- • Participate in cross-functional planning with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to align deployment capabilities with product roadmap and customer needs.
- • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving cybersecurity threats, detection rules, and automation frameworks to ensure deployment solutions remain effective and cutting-edge.
- • Represent the Rapid Deployment team in internal reviews, customer escalations, and process improvement initiatives with clarity and authority.
- • Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable onboarding workflows that reduce time-to-value for enterprise customers.
- • Balance strategic leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical contributions, ensuring team output meets both quality and velocity targets.
- • Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and documentation to reduce dependency on individual engineers and improve team resilience.
- • Support recruitment and onboarding of new Deployment Engineers by participating in interviews and developing training materials.
- • Ensure all deployments adhere to security best practices and compliance standards while maintaining agility in a rapidly evolving threat landscape.
