📋 Description

• As the Manager of Security and Compliance at Tapcheck Inc., you will play a critical role in safeguarding the organization and its customers by leading governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) initiatives that ensure adherence to SOC 2 Type II, CCPA, GDPR, and other key regulatory frameworks. This position is essential for maintaining customer trust, enabling secure operations, and supporting Tapcheck’s mission to deliver safe, on-demand earnings access without compromising on security or privacy standards.
• You will oversee the full lifecycle of compliance programs, including managing external audits, coordinating evidence collection, conducting control testing, and maintaining up-to-date risk registers and security policies. Your leadership will ensure continuous compliance readiness and drive alignment across engineering, product, legal, and operations teams to embed security controls into daily workflows and product development.
• You will lead customer assurance efforts by responding to security questionnaires, managing due diligence requests, and keeping the trust portal accurate and current — directly supporting sales and customer success teams in closing deals with enterprise clients who require rigorous security validation.
• You will partner with internal stakeholders to streamline and automate GRC processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement tools or workflows that reduce manual effort while increasing accuracy and scalability of compliance operations.
• You will manage third-party risk by conducting vendor security reviews, assessing supplier compliance postures, and ensuring that all external partners meet Tapcheck’s security and data protection standards.
• You will work in a hybrid capacity from Tapcheck’s Plano, TX office three days per week (Tuesday–Thursday), collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-growing fintech environment where innovation is balanced with rigorous risk management.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), risk management, or compliance roles within a fast-growing, regulated, or technology-driven company.
• Strong working knowledge of SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, NIST, CCPA, GDPR, or similar security and privacy frameworks.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end audit processes, including external audits (e.g., SOC 2), evidence collection, control testing, and remediation tracking.
• Demonstrated ability to lead customer assurance activities, such as completing security questionnaires and responding to due diligence requests from enterprise clients.
• Excellent communication, project management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across technical, legal, and business teams.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future employment-based visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, L-1, TN).
