- • As the Manager, Payroll Operations for EMEA, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing Remote's global payroll strategy, ensuring seamless and compliant payroll processing across multiple countries within the EMEA region.
- • This is a critical 9-month fixed-term contract role, offering a unique opportunity to lead and optimize payroll operations during a period of significant growth and innovation for the company.
- • You will own the end-to-end payroll function, taking responsibility for the planning, implementation, and ongoing management of payroll processes, guaranteeing accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to all relevant country-specific regulations and legal requirements.
- • Your leadership will extend to managing and mentoring the Payroll team, providing them with clear guidance, support, and development opportunities, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.
- • You will act as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries and issues, liaising effectively with internal departments (such as Finance, HR, and Legal) and external stakeholders, including third-party payroll service providers and regulatory bodies.
- • A key aspect of your role will be to stay abreast of the ever-evolving landscape of international payroll laws and regulations across the EMEA region, proactively identifying potential compliance risks and implementing necessary adjustments to mitigate them.
- • You will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to all corporate policies, procedures, and country-specific legal mandates, maintaining the integrity and compliance of the payroll system.
- • This role involves actively managing and nurturing relationships with existing payroll, accounting, and external payroll service providers, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met and that these partnerships contribute positively to operational efficiency.
- • You will drive the development and implementation of best practices within the payroll function, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and robust SLA metrics to monitor and continuously improve team performance and operational effectiveness.

- • You will be expected to adapt quickly to the fast-paced, international, and remote-first work environment at Remote, embracing its unique culture and contributing to its mission of simplifying global employment.
- • Your ability to work effectively in an asynchronous environment will be crucial, allowing for flexible scheduling and efficient communication across different time zones.
- • You will champion a culture of continuous learning and improvement within your team, encouraging them to explore new technologies and methodologies to enhance payroll operations.
- • This position offers the chance to make a tangible impact on the global employment landscape by ensuring that employees across EMEA are paid accurately and on time, contributing to Remote's reputation as a leader in global HR solutions.
- • You will be empowered to take ownership of your work, demonstrating initiative and a proactive mindset, always defaulting to action rather than waiting for direction.
- • The role is designed to support a healthy work-life balance, encouraging you to prioritize personal well-being and family needs while effectively managing your professional responsibilities.
- • You will play a vital role in ensuring the financial well-being and satisfaction of Remote's employees by maintaining the highest standards of payroll accuracy and compliance.
- • This is an opportunity to contribute to a company that is at the forefront of revolutionizing how businesses manage international teams, making global employment accessible and straightforward.
- • You will be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team, collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and geographies to achieve shared objectives.
- • The role requires a strong understanding of financial regulations and a commitment to ethical business practices in all payroll-related activities.
- • You will be responsible for ensuring that all payroll data is handled with the utmost confidentiality and security, adhering to data protection regulations.
- • Your analytical skills will be key in identifying trends, forecasting payroll needs, and providing insights to senior management.

- • The role demands a strategic thinker who can also execute effectively, managing both the big picture and the day-to-day operational details of payroll.

- • Your leadership will foster a positive and productive team dynamic, ensuring that the payroll function operates smoothly and efficiently.
