  • • As the Manager of Project Controls for North America, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of Vantage Data Centers' extensive portfolio across the region. This pivotal role demands a strategic approach to data organization, the implementation of robust and scalable processes, and the adept utilization of professional tools to drive project success.
  • • You will lead, collaborate, negotiate, and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, proactively identifying areas for improvement and developing actionable plans, processes, and executing necessary changes. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting project budgets and schedules, meticulously identifying potential risks, and clearly communicating these to all relevant project stakeholders.
  • • A core responsibility involves the implementation and meticulous maintenance of standardized procedures for cost information requirements, drawing data from contractors and suppliers. You will develop sophisticated methodologies for the classification, interpretation, and benchmarking of all gathered data, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights.
  • • You will perform comprehensive cost engineering functions, including detailed estimating, rigorous cost control, and the preparation of budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and insightful reporting.
  • • This role requires you to support critical decision-making processes by providing objective, data-driven insights. You will work closely with partner teams to thoroughly understand the impact of project implementation within a live data center environment, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
  • • A key duty is to evaluate projects at every stage of development, ensuring that all cost and financial activities undertaken by the project team are aligned with objectives and that client and contractual obligations are consistently met.
  • • You will manage the project controls resources and personnel necessary to successfully deliver multiple project portfolios, ensuring that project controls processes are applied consistently and effectively across all projects under your purview.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will be the monthly reporting on our North American program milestones and interdependencies, providing a clear overview of progress and potential challenges.
  • • You will be responsible for developing dynamic dashboards that offer real-time telemetry at project, site, region, and global levels. This includes delivering detailed cost, schedule, and risk/upside reports tailored for project teams and management as needed.
  • • You will make significant contributions to the month-end financial forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and reliability in financial projections.
  • • Reporting on budget status at various stages of development, comparing underwriting to budget (SD/DD/CD) and actual expenditures, will be a regular task.
  • • You will ensure that risk exposure is accurately extracted from the Risk/Upside Log and integrated into other relevant reports, providing a comprehensive view of potential challenges.
  • • Providing project teams with essential schedule lookahead metrics will be crucial for proactive planning and execution.
  • • You will conduct in-depth analyses to compare work in place against progress billings, thereby reporting on risks to budget or schedule adherence.
  • • A critical function is to establish and refine a change management workflow, integrating existing processes and identifying opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency and control.
  • • You will support the evaluation of design and construction changes, assessing their associated impacts on cost and/or schedule, and ensuring these impacts are well-understood and managed.
  • • You will ensure proper documentation of all change approvals, from the initial design phase through to construction completion.
  • • Partnering with global teams to harvest lessons learned and feed this valuable knowledge back into program-level project controls and the Innovation Engineering team will foster continuous improvement.
  • • During development projects (preconstruction and construction), you will support time-impact analysis throughout all development stage gates.
  • • You will ensure that contractors consistently comply with cost/schedule formats and data input requirements, enabling efficient and accurate data management.
  • • You will collaborate with project teams and the Construction Cost and Finance (CCF) department to create project estimates at each development stage, including conceptual design, Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), and Construction Documents (CD).
  • • Partnering with CCF, you will perform cost standardization, benchmarking, labor analysis/efficiency, and forecasting/variance analysis to identify risks and opportunities for optimizing ongoing and future builds.
  • • You will support project teams in the development of comprehensive Schedules of Values.
  • • Reviewing and performing health check analyses on contractor’s baseline and progress schedules will be essential to ensure project timelines are robust and achievable.
