- • The Manager, R&D Data Steward ensures the quality, integrity, consistency, and governance of R&D data across Research, Clinical, Safety, and Regulatory domains, serving as the custodian of data meaning and trust.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading data governance frameworks, defining and socializing R&D data policies and standards, maintaining the enterprise data catalog and metadata repository, enforcing access controls, and evaluating tools for effective data management.
- • The role involves acting as a data steward for Master Data Management (MDM), owning business definitions and Critical Data Elements (CDEs), conducting data profiling analyses, designing data enrichment workflows, establishing quality rules and KPIs, and overseeing data pipelines using Informatica and Databricks.
- • The position requires collaboration with R&D Data Governance leadership, business units, and IT to translate requirements into scalable solutions, facilitating cross-team workshops, fostering a culture of data stewardship, and developing data-sharing artifacts like lineage maps and dashboards.
- • The role includes ensuring compliance with GxP and non-GxP regulations, leading audit preparation, identifying and mitigating data-related risks, and serving as the primary liaison for complex data inquiries and change management initiatives.
- • Supervisory duties involve mentoring and developing a team of data stewards and analysts to promote progressive data governance practices and a culture of data stewardship.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience or Master’s degree and 4+ years of experience in Life Sciences, Data Management, Information Systems, or related field.
- • 5+ years’ experience in data stewardship, data governance, MDM, and related roles, preferably in Biotech or Pharmaceutical R&D.
- • Expert knowledge of R&D data domains, FAIR principles, and regulatory requirements.
- • Strong understanding of data management principles and hands-on experience with data governance tools/technologies (Informatica, Collibra) and MDM platforms (Reltio).
- • Excellent mentoring, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- • Proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Informatica CDGC/CDQ, Databricks, SQL, Python (preferred), and Reltio MDM.
