📋 Description

  • The Manager, Regional Apprenticeship, CVML role is critical to expanding equitable access to high-quality work-based learning opportunities across California’s community college system, directly supporting economic mobility for low-wage workers and addressing systemic disparities in the labor market.
  • Day to day, the manager will provide strategic direction and technical assistance for registered apprenticeship programs within an assigned regional consortium, lead stakeholder engagement, design and execute education-to-workforce integration initiatives, build partnerships with employers and colleges, manage cross-functional efforts, and serve as an apprenticeship ambassador while ensuring operational sustainability.
  • The Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC) operates at the intersection of nonprofit impact, entrepreneurial innovation, and state-scale operations, dedicated to strengthening the nation’s largest and most diverse higher education system by connecting students with resources, advancing equity, and fostering pathways to success.
  • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in apprenticeship policy and practice, lead regional workforce initiatives, enhance partnership-building and presentation skills, drive systems-level change in education-to-employment pipelines, and grow as a mission-driven leader committed to shared leadership and professional development.

🎯 Requirements

  • Experience managing or supporting registered apprenticeship or work-based learning programs, preferably within community college or workforce development settings
  • Strong project management and group facilitation skills with ability to prioritize tasks and deliver quality outcomes under limited supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, synthesize, and communicate complex topics to diverse audiences via reports, toolkits, presentations, and graphic displays
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with comfort working in fast-paced, mission-driven environments and a passion for equity and social impact
  • Knowledge of California’s community college system, regional consortia, and state workforce initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as education, workforce development, public policy, or business; equivalent experience may be considered
