📋 Description
- • Manage a team of engineers in a distributed, remote-friendly environment, conducting 1:1s, performance reviews, hiring, and career development.
- • Own the technical roadmap for shared cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS, balancing reliability initiatives with long-term platform improvements.
- • Set and enforce standards for infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes, ensuring documentation and operational readiness are maintained.
- • Make technical decisions and trade-offs for application-layer infrastructure including Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, and Redis, serving as the primary escalation point for the team.
- • Lead sprint planning, manage cross-team dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of platform initiatives.
- • Conduct post-incident reviews and ensure all follow-up action items are resolved to improve system resilience.
- • Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to maintain current FedRAMP and SOC 2 controls for cloud infrastructure.
- • Serve as the main engineering liaison between Development, Product, and Security teams, translating their requirements into platform priorities.
- • Represent the Shared Services team in architecture reviews and strategic planning discussions with leadership.
- • Promote and implement AI-assisted tooling, including LLM-based automation and AI-driven observability, to enhance engineering workflows.
- • Ensure high availability and scalability of critical SaaS infrastructure supporting Delinea’s Identity Security Platform.
- • Maintain operational excellence for cloud-native systems with 99.995% uptime requirements.
- • Apply cloud security fundamentals including PIM, RBAC, and JIT privilege elevation across Azure and AWS environments.
- • Work within a FedRAMP-authorized environment to ensure compliance with federal security standards for cloud services.
- • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders across departments.
- • Utilize Agile methodologies and Azure DevOps for project tracking and delivery management.
- • Drive continuous improvement in cloud cost management through rightsizing and capacity planning.
- • Support CI/CD workflows and infrastructure module deployment processes to enable rapid, secure releases.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering, with at least 3 years managing engineers directly.
- • Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS, including Kubernetes, microservices, and cloud security fundamentals (PIM, RBAC, JIT privilege elevation).
- • Proven experience implementing and operating production-grade SaaS platforms with high availability requirements, specifically using Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, and/or Redis.
- • Experience in or adjacent to FedRAMP-authorized environments.
- • Ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience using Azure DevOps.
