- • Own the end-to-end success of a high-performing, fully-remote software engineering group (8-12 engineers) that ships the core Patch My PC platform used by 9,000+ organizations to protect 26 million endpoints. You will translate company OKRs into crisp quarterly roadmaps, balance new-feature velocity with technical-debt reduction, and ensure every release raises the bar for security, scalability, and customer delight.
- • Recruit and retain world-class talent in a competitive market. You will define job profiles, run a data-driven interview loop, close offers, and design onboarding that gets new hires productive in <30 days. Once on board, you will coach engineers through quarterly growth plans, deliver candid performance feedback, and create advancement paths that keep top performers engaged for years.
- • Provide hands-on technical leadership without being the sole decision maker. You will pair with architects to review system designs, conduct code reviews, and enforce standards for C#, .NET, Azure, Docker, and CI/CD. When the team hits a gnarly scalability or security bottleneck, you will roll up your sleeves, debug, and model the curiosity and rigor you expect from others.
- • Drive predictable delivery in an Agile Scrum environment. You will own sprint planning, story sizing, dependency mapping, and risk management; monitor burndown and velocity metrics; and use that data to continuously improve throughput and quality. Expect to ship production updates every two weeks while maintaining 99.9 % uptime.
- • Champion a culture of psychological safety, experimentation, and continuous learning. You will run blameless post-mortems, sponsor hack-days, and allocate 20 % time for engineers to explore new tools or refactor legacy code. Your team should feel safe to fail fast, share half-baked ideas, and challenge the status quo.
- • Optimize budget, tooling, and cloud spend. You will negotiate with vendors, right-size Azure resources, and invest in automation that reduces manual toil. Every dollar saved goes back into hiring, training, or charitable giving aligned with our “improve lives” mission.
- • Be the bridge between Engineering, Product, Support, and Sales. You will translate customer pain points into technical requirements, provide realistic sizing, and communicate trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders. When a Fortune-500 customer needs a custom integration, you will scope the work, staff the team, and ensure delivery without derailing the roadmap.
- • Foster organizational health across a distributed workforce. You will schedule inclusive meetings across time zones, document decisions transparently, and use asynchronous communication (Slack, Notion, Loom) to keep everyone aligned. Quarterly in-person summits will be your chance to deepen relationships and celebrate wins.
- • Stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies. You will monitor CVE feeds, evaluate new Microsoft Intune capabilities, and prototype features like zero-touch patching or AI-driven risk scoring. Your curiosity keeps our product—and our customers—secure and future-proof.
