- • As a Managing Consultant within BRG Communications LLC's Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) practice, you will be at the forefront of transforming healthcare delivery by focusing on clinical quality improvement within acute care hospital settings.
- • This pivotal role involves serving as a subject-matter expert and dedicated coach to hospital teams, guiding them through complex challenges to achieve measurable enhancements in patient care and operational efficiency.
- • You will leverage your deep understanding of hospital environments and extensive experience in quality improvement methodologies to drive sustainable performance gains across a broad spectrum of clinical areas.
- • Your expertise will be instrumental in helping hospitals reduce complications and mortality rates, optimize surgical quality and associated operations, improve patient throughput, reduce average length of stay, enhance emergency department performance, strengthen quality infrastructure, and achieve more accurate clinical coding and documentation.
- • A key aspect of your role will be to analyze and interpret critical clinical quality data, drawing insights from sources such as CMS Care Compare (formerly Hospital Compare), NHSN (National Healthcare Safety Network), QNet (QualityNet), and internal hospital systems to pinpoint performance gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- • You will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive client workplans, specifically targeting areas like infection prevention, sepsis care management, surgical quality enhancement, reduction of complications, mortality, and readmissions.
- • Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in supporting hospitals' regulatory readiness, ensuring they understand and meet the stringent requirements set forth by State health departments, CMS, and other relevant oversight bodies.
- • A significant part of your contribution will involve optimizing hospital performance on national quality scorecards, including the widely recognized CMS Care Compare and other public reporting programs, thereby enhancing the hospital’s reputation and public quality profile.
- • You will translate complex data and analytical findings into clear, actionable insights, effectively communicating these to hospital leaders, including executive teams, and frontline clinical staff to foster understanding and drive engagement.
- • Continuous monitoring of progress and rigorous evaluation of the outcomes of implemented improvement initiatives will be essential, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative measures to demonstrate impact and identify areas for further refinement.
- • Collaboration is central to this role; you will partner closely with multidisciplinary hospital leaders, including nursing staff, physicians, quality improvement teams, operations managers, and executives, to ensure that improvement strategies are seamlessly aligned with the organization's overarching goals.
- • You will facilitate robust cross-departmental collaboration, fostering an environment where evidence-based practices are consistently adopted and integrated into daily operations across all relevant departments.
- • Leading or actively supporting quality committees, specialized workgroups, and performance improvement teams within client hospitals will be a core responsibility, empowering internal teams and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
- • This role demands a proactive and strategic approach to problem-solving, requiring you to identify root causes of performance issues and develop innovative, evidence-based solutions.
- • You will act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and championing best practices in clinical quality and patient safety.
- • The dynamic nature of healthcare consulting means you will be involved in diverse projects, requiring adaptability and a broad understanding of various clinical settings and challenges.
- • Your work will directly contribute to improving patient care outcomes, enhancing the efficiency of healthcare delivery, and strengthening the overall performance and reputation of the hospitals you serve.
- • You will contribute to the growth and development of BRG's Integrated Health Solutions practice by sharing knowledge, mentoring junior consultants, and participating in business development activities as needed.
- • This position offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the healthcare industry, driving meaningful change and fostering a culture of excellence in patient care and safety.
- • The role requires a commitment to staying abreast of the latest trends, research, and regulatory changes in healthcare quality improvement and patient safety.
