Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the end-to-end recruitment life-cycle for Mandarin- and Cantonese-speaking bilingual interpreters across Canada, ensuring every class is filled on time and every candidate feels like a VIP from first click to first day on the floor.
  • • Proactively hunt for top-tier bilingual talent through a creative mix of job boards, WeChat groups, LinkedIn campaigns, university alumni networks, community centres, church bulletins, and referral drives—turning passive profiles into enthusiastic hires.
  • • Build and nurture a warm pipeline of 150+ pre-qualified Mandarin/Cantonese interpreters, using CRM-style touchpoints, drip campaigns, and culturally relevant content that keeps candidates engaged for both immediate and future needs.
  • • Partner daily with the Talent Acquisition Lead to forecast head-count, map hiring risks, and design just-in-time sourcing strategies that flex with fluctuating client volumes and seasonal spikes.
  • • Deliver a frictionless, high-touch candidate experience: schedule interviews within 24 hours, send bilingual confirmation emails, host virtual info sessions, and personally greet new hires on day one—driving offer-to-start ratios above 90 %.
  • • Own ATS hygiene in Workday (or similar): log every touchpoint, update disposition codes in real time, generate weekly funnel dashboards, and flag bottlenecks before they derail class start dates.
  • • Coordinate all pre-employment logistics—background checks, I-9/ID verification, equipment orders, and welcome packets—so new interpreters arrive ready to interpret, not buried in paperwork.
  • • Champion diversity outreach by forging partnerships with Chinese cultural associations, ESL schools, and newcomer centres; track demographic data to ensure our workforce mirrors the communities we serve.
  • • Curate and share market intelligence—salary benchmarks, competitor moves, emerging job boards—so leadership can pivot sourcing strategies and stay ahead of talent shortages.
  • • Continuously improve: pilot AI sourcing tools, A/B test bilingual job ads, refine interview guides, and roll out micro-learning for hiring managers to slash time-to-fill by 15 % quarter over quarter.
  • • Provide ad-hoc support for high-volume English campaigns and special projects (e.g., ramping a new client account), proving you can flex across languages and business lines without missing a beat.
  • • Uphold TP’s core values—integrity, respect, professionalism, innovation, commitment—in every interaction, ensuring candidates feel valued, inspired, and set up for long-term success.
