  • • Serve as Silvus’ senior representative to the U.S. Navy, shaping demand across NAVWAR, PEO C4I, OPNAV staffs, Fleet Forces Command, Warfare Centers, and operational Fleet elements.
  • • Influence Navy capability development aligned with DMO, Naval Operational Architecture, and JADC2 to integrate Silvus’ networking capabilities into future naval operational concepts and acquisition strategies.
  • • Position Silvus Technologies as a mission-critical enabler for resilient afloat, ship-to-ship, ship-to-shore, and distributed maritime networking using MANET and MN-MIMO waveform technologies.
  • • Engage early in Navy experimentation, prototyping, and concept development to align Silvus capabilities with Navy networking priorities and requirements.
  • • Cultivate and maintain advocacy among senior Navy leaders, requirements officers, and program managers to ensure sustained institutional support for Silvus’ technologies.
  • • Coordinate a team-based pursuit model across Business Development, DoD Account Sales, and OEM/Prime Sales teams to execute unified messaging and strategy for priority Navy programs.
  • • Partner with Motorola Solutions and MSI Government Affairs to synchronize advocacy efforts, policy outreach, and regulatory alignment with Navy modernization initiatives.
  • • Provide supervisory oversight for the Navy Business Development Director, including strategic planning and execution of key program pursuits.
  • • Develop and execute the U.S. Navy Market Development Plan, defining shaping objectives, key relationships, and milestone targets in coordination with Navy Sales and BD stakeholders.
  • • Deliver continuous market intelligence to Silvus leadership on trends in Navy network modernization, tactical communications, electronic warfare, and spectrum management.
  • • Identify and cultivate emerging long-term revenue opportunities by mapping Navy planning cycles, exercises, and acquisition pathways.
  • • Represent Silvus at Navy, DoD, and industry forums to promote thought leadership and build institutional advocacy for Spectrum Dominance and MN-MIMO waveform technologies.
  • • Ensure disciplined handoff of shaped opportunities to the Business Development and sales teams for capture and contract execution.
  • • Contribute to pipeline growth by maturing multi-year Navy program opportunities toward Business Development hand-off.
  • • Travel up to 50% to maintain strong customer engagement, attend demonstrations, and participate in Navy events, trade shows, and operational testing.
  • • Perform physical duties including lifting equipment up to 50 lbs for demonstration setup and testing, and engaging in bending and reaching movements during field operations.
  • • Work in diverse environments including office settings, trade shows, and outdoor demonstration sites.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience in strategic relationship management, account management, or government relations within the defense industry
  • • Senior-level Navy or Navy-supporting experience in modernization, C5ISR, tactical communications, or spectrum/EW applications
  • • Pre-existing, established, and verifiable network of contacts at senior levels within the U.S. Navy (NAVWAR, OPNAV, PEO C4I, Fleet commands, etc.)
  • • Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire
  • • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts
  • • Exceptional executive-level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
