  • • The Market Development Representative (MDR) at Henry Schein ONE plays a critical role in driving revenue growth by generating qualified sales opportunities through outbound telesales efforts, directly supporting Account Executives in closing deals for dental practice management software and services.
  • • This role is essential to the company’s go-to-market strategy, as the MDR identifies and nurtures leads from both existing Henry Schein ONE customers and net-new prospects, ensuring a steady pipeline of opportunities that fuel business expansion in the healthcare technology sector.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include making 65–85 outbound calls per day to dental practices, aiming for 15 meaningful conversations and generating at least 7 scheduled sales opportunities daily, while connecting customer needs with Henry Schein ONE’s software solutions.
  • • The MDR updates and maintains accurate records in Salesforce (or similar CRM), tracking leads, opportunities, sales stages, and next steps until handoff to an Account Executive, ensuring data integrity and process compliance.
  • • Using targeted lists provided by Sales and Marketing, the MDR leverages existing tools and data to build effective prospecting strategies, while also creating detailed business plans to support monthly and quarterly sales target attainment.
  • • Beyond lead generation, the MDR promotes awareness and drives registrations for webinars, trade shows, and conferences, participates in special projects such as partner-led events, and performs other duties as required to support broader marketing and sales initiatives.
  • • The role emphasizes delivering value insights about software solution suites to prospects and clients, requiring strong consultative communication skills to articulate benefits and solve dental practice pain points.
  • • MDRs are expected to meet company standards for both quantity and quality of work, adhere to all company policies and procedures—including Worldwide Business Standards—and demonstrate professionalism in all workplace interactions.
  • • The position operates primarily in a remote office environment within the United States, with minimal travel (less than 10%) and no special physical demands, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 1–2 years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in B2B sales
  • • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Product Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • • Proven phone experience and ability to engage effectively with dental customers and prospects
  • • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both oral and written
  • • Self-starter mindset with strong team collaboration abilities
  • • Capacity to carry a quota, manage high call volumes, and maintain detailed, accurate records
  • • Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills to handle daily sales activities efficiently
  • • General proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and understanding of sales cycles and procedures
  • • Foundational skills in planning, organization, problem-solving, and analysis
