- • Support national and regional strategic plans to achieve individual and team top-line sales targets within the Commercial Construction Field Sales team.
- • Establish, develop, and maintain key relationships with end-user partners through product and services solutions.
- • Develop, coach, and mentor a team of Trade Specialists to achieve KPIs, deliverables, and targets, including identifying key contacts such as trade associations, safety personnel, engineers, quality managers, general managers, line supervisors, chief mechanics, and purchasing staff.
- • Guide team members on how end users execute their purchasing processes—both central and facility-level—and align their efforts with local market teams, product managers, distributors, and service centers.
- • Conduct a minimum of one effective "work with" session per month with team members to train, develop, and motivate them to capture market share.
- • Ensure the team has appropriate product and sales skills training by collaborating with the Regional Field Trainer and directly facilitating training on product demonstrations, applications, and all steps of the sales process.
- • Serve as the local product line expert for all Stanley Black & Decker product lines, including DEWALT®, CRAFTSMAN®, CUB CADET®, STANLEY®, and BLACK+DECKER®.
- • Act as a liaison between the team of Trade Specialists and internal teams including IC Field Account Managers, NAMs, Channel Marketing, and Trade Association Managers.
- • Maintain daily communication with the Regional Market Manager regarding business opportunities, risks, and employee development.
- • Travel at least 50% of the month within the assigned territory to conduct field activities and support team members.
- • Utilize Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook for daily operations and reporting.
- • Leverage CRM and sales optimization systems such as Salesforce, PowerBI, or Showpad Coach to enhance sales performance and team effectiveness.
- • Relocate as needed for future roles over time to support organizational growth and mobility.
- • Contribute to a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion while participating in volunteerism, giving back, and sustainable business practices.
- • Engage with global learning resources including the Lean Academy, Coursera®, and an online university to advance professional development.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field; relevant construction field experience may substitute for higher education.
- • 5+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing for Construction Supplies with a proven track record of delivering results.
- • Prior management or team leadership experience preferred.
- • Valid Driver’s License and physical ability to travel at least 50% of the month within territory.
- • Proficient in Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
- • Experience with Salesforce, PowerBI, Showpad Coach, or other CRM/sales optimization systems preferred.
