- • Lead the development and execution of a data-driven marketing measurement and analytics culture at OpenAI to support global user and business growth.
- • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing campaigns and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and user engagement goals.
- • Design and implement full-funnel measurement and attribution frameworks to guide marketing investment decisions and optimize resource allocation.
- • Conduct statistical analysis on large datasets to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and growth opportunities in marketing performance and user behavior.
- • Design and execute controlled experiments (e.g., matched market, holdout/exposed tests) to quantify the impact of marketing initiatives on awareness, engagement, and adoption.
- • Build and maintain self-service dashboards and reporting tools that enable marketing teams to answer data questions independently and make timely decisions.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and analytics teams to ensure data insights inform strategy, product development, and business planning.
- • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for marketing leaders and executive stakeholders.
- • Leverage diverse data sources including media measurement, web analytics, social listening, and brand lift studies to inform marketing strategy.
- • Establish and evolve measurement capabilities to scale with OpenAI’s growing global user base and product portfolio.
- • Support thought leadership initiatives by providing data-backed insights on AI adoption, user attitudes, and market dynamics.
- • Ensure all analytics practices align with OpenAI’s mission of responsible AI deployment and ethical data use.
- • Participate in planning sessions and key milestones requiring in-person collaboration in San Francisco, as part of the hybrid work model.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of experience in a quantitative role within a highly ambiguous environment
- • Proven experience designing and executing marketing experiments using SQL and Python
- • Demonstrated ability to define campaign goals and build comprehensive measurement plans
- • Experience working with marketing organizations to implement attribution models and performance tracking
- • Strong communication skills with a track record of influencing marketing and executive teams
- • Familiarity with marketing data sources such as media measurement, web analytics, social listening, and brand lift studies
