This is a pivotal, hands-on leadership role designed for a strategic thinker and a proactive operator who will assume complete ownership of all marketing initiatives. Your primary objective will be to drive measurable revenue impact, establish robust marketing systems, and develop scalable playbooks that will support the company's ambitious expansion plans.
  • • Foothills Painting, based in Colorado, has established itself as a leading painting service provider over the past 15 years. It serves as the flagship operation for National Painting Group, a collective of painting companies projected to achieve approximately $37 million in revenue this year. This growth trajectory necessitates a dedicated marketing leader to manage the function end-to-end, ensuring that marketing efforts are strategically aligned with business objectives and contribute directly to top-line growth.
  • • As Foothills Painting enters an accelerated growth phase, we require a Marketing Director who can immediately step in, build essential structure, implement scalable marketing systems, and execute with a high degree of accountability. This role carries direct responsibility for revenue generation, marketing efficiency, and measurable contributions to overall company growth. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our marketing efforts and driving significant business outcomes.
  • • **Multi-Channel Demand Generation:** You will take full ownership of Foothills Painting's marketing across all channels. This requires a hands-on approach with strong performance instincts and expertise in the following areas:
  • • **Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Advertising:** Develop and execute expert-level strategies for Meta platforms, driving targeted campaigns that generate high-quality leads and conversions.
  • • **Google Ads & Local Search:** Demonstrate strong competency in Google Ads (Search, Display, Video), Google Business Profile optimization, and Local Services Ads to capture local demand effectively.
  • • **SEO & Local Maps Optimization:** Implement advanced Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies and local map optimization techniques to ensure high visibility in local search results.
  • • **Direct Mail & Print Branding:** Leverage expertise in direct mail, print advertising, and local branding initiatives to achieve concentrated geographical market penetration and build brand awareness.
  • • **Website Conversion Optimization:** Drive website click conversion rates through expert design, compelling landing page development, and continuous A/B testing to maximize lead capture.
  • • **Client Nurturing:** Develop and execute strategies for nurturing existing client relationships to foster repeat business and generate referrals.
  • • **Business Development & Partnerships (Preferred):** Cultivate strong business development capabilities and explore partner or affiliate marketing opportunities to expand reach and customer acquisition channels.
  • • **Performance Marketing and Optimization:** You will meticulously manage and optimize marketing performance through disciplined testing, data analysis, and decisive decision-making. This includes:
  • • **Budget Management:** Directly manage a paid media budget of approximately $100,000+ per month, ensuring optimal allocation and return on investment.
  • • **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):** Possess a deep understanding of Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), and Customer Lifetime Value (LTV) to CAC ratios.
  • • **Testing Frameworks:** Build and implement robust testing frameworks across creative elements, offers, and audience targeting to continuously improve campaign effectiveness.
  • • **Agile Budget Allocation:** Swiftly identify and eliminate underperforming channels, decisively reallocating budget to maximize ROI and drive growth.
  • • **Accountability:** Operate with clear, measurable performance expectations and a high degree of accountability for marketing outcomes.
  • • **Systems and Playbooks Development:** As you execute your responsibilities, you will naturally build the foundational systems and playbooks for the entire marketing department. This proactive approach will create a clear, replicable structure that enables seamless scaling of the team and marketing operations as the company grows.
  • • **Cross-Functional Alignment:** Foster tight collaboration with the Sales and Operations teams to ensure that marketing performance directly translates into revenue generation and efficient operational execution. This involves:
  • • **Sales Collaboration:** Partner with Sales to enhance lead quality, improve close rates, and reduce speed-to-contact for incoming leads.
  • • **Operations Coordination:** Work closely with Operations to align marketing demand generation with available capacity and manage lead flow effectively.
  • • **Adaptive Spend Adjustment:** Adjust marketing spend based on real-time operational readiness and capacity, ensuring a balanced approach to growth.
  • • **Hands-On Execution:** You must be comfortable operating leanly for the initial 18 to 24 months, without relying on a large internal team. This means you are willing and able to personally:
  • • Launch and optimize marketing campaigns across various platforms.
  • • Build high-converting landing pages.
  • • Write compelling and effective ad copy.
  • • Structure attractive offers that resonate with target audiences.
  • • Analyze campaign performance data to derive actionable insights.
  • • While you will manage external vendors as needed, your primary approach will be to 'get your hands dirty' and personally drive execution to achieve desired results. This role demands a proactive, self-starter mentality with a proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
