  • • As a Marketing Director at Real Chemistry, you will be instrumental in driving the growth of our esteemed agency. This pivotal role focuses on elevating our brand reputation, showcasing our unique and differentiated work, and generating high-quality demand among senior healthcare communicators, marketers, and key decision-makers across the EMEA region. You will operate in a highly cross-functional capacity, collaborating closely with Real Chemistry leadership, Business Development, Internal Communications, and various other teams to conceptualize, launch, and measure the impact of integrated marketing and external communications programs.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to own and develop comprehensive annual integrated marketing plans. These plans must be strategically aligned with overarching enterprise-level business objectives and tailored to support the specific priorities of our practice areas. This involves a deep understanding of our agency’s capabilities and the evolving needs of the healthcare industry.
  • • You will lead the planning and execution of multi-channel integrated campaigns. This includes leveraging a diverse range of channels such as content marketing, email marketing, LinkedIn engagement, paid media initiatives, webinars and events, strategic partnerships, award submissions, and earned media efforts. The goal is to consistently position Real Chemistry as a premier partner in healthcare communications.
  • • A key aspect of this role is developing and managing our thought leadership initiatives. This involves translating complex healthcare work and scientific advancements into compelling narratives that highlight our expertise and the tangible outcomes we deliver for clients. You will either develop these points of view directly or manage their creation by internal or external resources.
  • • You will champion audience-focused marketing strategies, working in tandem with the broader Marketing team to implement Account-Based Marketing (ABM) style plays for our priority accounts within the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors. This includes providing strategic input on target account lists, refining messaging, and contributing to the development of creative assets that resonate with these key stakeholders.
  • • Supporting award submissions and speaking opportunities is another crucial function. You will play a key role in identifying relevant industry awards and speaking forums, and in developing compelling submissions and proposals that highlight our agency’s achievements and expertise.
  • • Effective management of EU-based relationships with external industry partners is essential. This includes fostering strong connections with trade publications, industry associations, and award bodies to enhance our visibility and credibility within the European healthcare market.
  • • Success in the first 6-12 months will be measured by the effective pull-through of our enterprise-level narrative across all campaigns in the EU, clearly articulating what we do, for whom, and our unique differentiation. You will be expected to drive increased visibility in EU-focused healthcare channels, measured by share of voice, event presence, award wins, press mentions, and social engagement.
  • • Furthermore, you will establish a predictable cadence of marketing programs that demonstrably generate qualified leads and influence the sales pipeline. The creation of a scalable library of EU-specific case studies and points of view to support business development efforts will also be a key deliverable, ensuring our sales teams are equipped with compelling collateral.
  • • This role requires a proactive, driven, and resourceful individual with exceptional prioritization skills and a keen eye for data. You must be highly organized, capable of working independently, and adept at meeting tight deadlines. Adaptability and resilience are crucial as you navigate a dynamic and evolving agency landscape.
  • • You will be expected to embody Real Chemistry’s core values: Best Together, Impact-Obsessed, Excellence Expected, Evolve Always, and Accountability with an “I”. Your approach should be strategic yet hands-on, allowing you to transition seamlessly from planning to execution. Strong stakeholder management and the ability to lead through influence in a matrixed environment are paramount. A data-informed decision-making process and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement are essential, as is a high bar for craft, brand consistency, and quality control. A practical understanding of healthcare compliance and experience supporting awards programs, PR collaborations, and event/webinar production will further contribute to your success.
  • • This hybrid role offers flexibility, being based in any of our UK offices (London, Manchester, Edinburgh) or remotely within EMEA, reflecting our commitment to a flexible and collaborative work environment. You will be part of a global agency dedicated to transforming healthcare through deep scientific expertise, human-centered creativity, and AI-driven insights, fostering a culture where innovation thrives and people are impact-obsessed.
