📋 Description

• NerdWallet is seeking a dedicated Marketing Operations Associate to play a crucial role in supporting the operational and administrative functions of their Student Loans business. This entry-level position is vital for ensuring the smooth and compliant operation of the Student Loans marketplace, allowing senior marketing leadership to concentrate on strategic growth initiatives.
• As a Marketing Operations Associate, you will be responsible for processing critical lender-initiated compliance updates, including APRs, disclosures, and other regulated content, across landing pages and internal systems to maintain marketplace accuracy and adhere to regulatory requirements. You will also build, maintain, and analyze comprehensive marketing reports and Google Sheets dashboards, conducting month-over-month and year-over-year performance analyses, campaign and partner reporting, and monthly billing audits to inform data-driven marketing and partnership decisions.
• Your day-to-day will involve managing landing page content and lender placement within the Student Loans marketplace. This includes launching new pages, updating existing content, optimizing lender ordering, and executing partner-driven initiatives such as logo tests and custom landing pages. You will also execute affiliate marketing operations using Voluum, which involves campaign setup, configuration, tracking implementation, and creative asset distribution to support partner acquisition efforts.
• A significant part of your role will be reconciling partner billing and invoicing across the marketplace. This entails validating traffic partner invoices, resolving discrepancies, processing requisitions, auditing lender invoices, and identifying billing issues for cross-functional stakeholders. You will maintain lender payout rates, revenue terms, and affiliate compensation structures within internal systems to ensure accurate reporting, optimize bidding, facilitate partner reconciliation, and support financial tracking.
• Furthermore, you will manage the partner contract lifecycle within Ironclad, monitoring contract progress, coordinating approvals, identifying next steps, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support onboarding, renewals, and ongoing partner relationships. You will act as a central operational hub, liaising with lenders, affiliate partners, finance, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure initiatives progress efficiently from intake through execution and completion.
• This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a deep understanding of marketing operations within a regulated industry. You will gain hands-on experience with essential marketing technology platforms such as Voluum, Ironclad, and WordPress, as well as internal tools. 🎯 Requirements

• 1–4 years in marketing operations, affiliate or performance marketing, account management, financial operations, or a similar operational role.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (marketing, business, finance, or related field) or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong attention to detail, comfort working with numbers, and ability to track multiple workstreams without dropping items.
• Proactive follow-through, sound judgment, and comfort switching between diverse tasks within a single day.
• Solid Google Sheets skills (formulas, pivot tables, basic dashboard construction) and ability to learn new platforms quickly.
